Birds have a different cell-size, weight, heat, energy problem and have smaller cells. We have hands. Elephants huge bodies. Bird brain structure is more efficient than the mammalian. This is an interesting avenue of investigation.

@SteveStuWill Correct. I think we tend to overlook that the organization of neural tissues in the brain is a space-distance-resource solution, but that neural tissue is neural tissue period. If the neurons are there we can make use of them, because everything is connected to everything else.
