BTW: It’s not that fb is an echo camber. Its that it’s my test lab. And until I feel I’m ‘done’ (which I do, because I’ve moved on to religion) and I’ve published (which will happen soon enough), then I can bypass the internet basement dwellers, and debate people who are capable and intellectually honest out of necessity. (academics and intellectuals: top down). I think what you mean is that the activist market is a great advertising vehicle, and is on the web now rather than in journals and newspapers and that if we want to reach the activists (bottom up) this is the best medium for doing so.
