Three things

1. I think you’ve probably noticed that you have to script the videos and use slides. It’s not like having a conversation. It’s the same thing I figured out doing the first lesson on geometry. Conversing and teaching are vastly different. My sister teaches ‘teaching’ at university and it’s really project plans for getting a series of concepts across. John is finally getting to where he can do them from notes without fully scripting. But at the level of resolution he’s communicating that’s not as important as the level of resolution we’re communicating.

2. I think you’re trying to jump right to your interpretation of the work as you apply it, rather than teaching the work as a formal method and then interpreting and applying it. That won’t work. You’ll need to teach the method as a method like we teach a formula, and then apply it, and then interpret it. This will make it much easier for you achieve two different goals: teaching the methodology (boring) skipping the political philosophy, and then interpreting the political philosophy as personal philosophy – which is how you have been grabbing people’s deep attention: you’re making it relevant to their personal lives.

3. I think if you want to produce content we should collaborate on it where you pick the topic, I make sure you’ve got the method down, and then you teach it and apply it.

Hugs
