THE CONSEQUENCE OF REJECTING DUALISM

The “accident of birth” argument falls apart when you reject dualism.

I mean that accident of birth implies that it’s an accident your consciousness (soul) got assigned to your body rather that consciousness being produced by the body.

So when someone asks me something like: “What if it was you in that situation?”, I respond with: “I am a product of a specific time, place, genetics and experience. It wouldn’t be me in that situation, it would be someone else.”
