@ATabarrok @KirkegaardEmil Are actors paid more than in 1989? Athletes are paid a lot more, but I’m not sure if movie stars are. Jack Nicholson made $50 million playing the Joker in 1989, while Joaquin Phoenix is said to have made $4.5 million in 2019 for the same role.
