I think the USA wants a ‘special deal’ with UK, but can’t say anything about it until afterward. What we want (need) is an anglo alliance to justify our navies and the trade with justify them.

@curtdoolittle Most likely scenario is a Tory win on Thursday followed by exit from EU without a deal, then collapse of United Kingdom and severe decline in living standards for all but some of the very rich.
If Labour do better than everyone expects there’s some hope, but not much.
