If it’s not by Zallinger then maybe Knight (American). The expressionistic painting is just a cheaper, faster, more contemporary method of painting, in the style started by Nieman for sports (cheap, colorful, fast, from photos). It’s unsophisticated work not worthy of comparison.

@holland_tom @SteveBrusatte If those are pieces by Rudy Zallinger (who was the first artist to illustrate the peabody museum, and render the dinosaurs for Time magazine) he was not soviet.
