Correct me if I’m wrong, but AFAIK, males are more emotionally secure, spatially concerned, and ‘wander’. Females more variable, more visual (things), protective and ‘homey’. And differences in aggression (dominance) more dependent upon breed than gender. Mammals. Same as people.

Average people seem to be aware more of stereotypes about breed differences among dogs than about sex differences.

This might imply that we don’t “over-stereotype” by excessive pattern-recognition because we are exposed frequently to male and female dogs, yet don’t notice much.
