DOOLITTLE’S 4GW LESSON’S FROM MACHIAVELLI

“SIEGE”
It is better to defeat the enemy by hunger than with steel; in such victory, fortune(Fate) counts more than virtue(Heroism).

“SURPRISE”
No proceeding(Battle, Raid, Strike, Execution) is better than that which you have concealed from the enemy until the time you have executed it.

“RELENTLESS OPPORTUNISM”
To know how to recognize an opportunity in war, and take it, benefits you more than anything else.

“TRAVEL FAST, LIGHT, AND ROUGH”
Accustom your soldiers to despise delicate living and luxurious clothing.

“PILLAGE FOR SUPPLY”
Men, steel, money, and bread, are the sinews of war; but of these four, the first two are more necessary, for men and steel find money and bread, but money and bread do not find men and steel.

“PLUNDER FOR REWARD”
The unarmed rich man is the prize of the poor soldier.

Our ancestors were cattle raiders, warriors for territory, armies for conquest, vikings and pirates for plunder, captains of industry, navy, and empire to exploit. The ‘moral period of kinship wars’ is over. We are once again in a period of war of all against all.

We gave the world a chance. Some of them took it. Most of them did not.

Back to our natural ‘industry’: the domestication of animals for fun and profit.

“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”
