I can’t remember who wrote about this but it’s under the subject of ‘dinner parties’. I suppose if could go look it up. But yes, the purpose of dinner parties is exactly that. Its our signal of arrival.

@curtdoolittle I told my wife the other day, individuals act as if they are ‘faux aristocrats.’ As we ate our 7th different dinner, 7 days in a row. Middle Class Fapitalism.
