Correct. What’s changing is either side’s ability to legislate from the bench, rather than the state and federal legislatures and the amendment process. We gain the Restoration of Rule of Law.

Justice Kennedy Retiring. With a more conservative bench maybe less issues will get escalated to the Supreme Court, i.e. legislation will have to go through House and Senate vs legislation from the bench. Imagine that, how it was designed to work!
