In are theory and history we use “Fear of Vacuum” to describe primitive people’s need to fill white space with content. But the same principle applies to thoughts about the universe. The stoics would teach us and science would teach us not to fear the vacuum and fill it with nonsense and convince ourselves we are wise, but to train ourselves not to fear vacuums and consider them opportunities for learning.
