WHY I LOVE UKRAINE

The people are sweet. family and friends matter more than work and politics. The food is amazing and natural. There is little if any rude public behavior. the culture is communal and civil – you can get a punch in the face still. the men are men and manly. the women are women – and beautiful. People appreciate kindness and consideration. They go to church and dress for it. The women cook. Family is sacred. There are scammers everywhere. The women will use you if you let them. The tech sector is a wild west like the USA in the 90’s because it’s difficult to exercise corruption on information-goods. They work 10-12 hour days. There is a holiday every week or so. No one works between december 10th and January 20th – and can’t, because of food and alcohol. The entire place is falling apart. Nothing works. Banking is questionable. No one can drive at all, and everyone thinks otherwise. There is organized crime everywhere. There is corruption everywhere. There is little if any government. There is little if any police presence. But they are hopeful. And they are ‘becoming a people’ before your eyes. So basically if you make your income elsewhere and spend it in ukraine it’s akin to tripling your income, and everyone you spend it with or on benefits from it.
