Capitalism vs Marxism was a false dichotomy. The question is and has always been rule of law, or discretionary rule. And only one people has managed to hold territory while creating government without rule. The North Sea People.

If you produce rule of law, under natural law, you will obtain moral (fully reciprocal) markets in everything. Otherwise you are burning the potential of reciprocity with every non-reciprocal discretionary decision (command) that you issue.

THe reason contemporary capitalism ‘sucks’ is that moral capitalism is the RESULT of rule of law. Socialism and communism are the result of the absence of rule of law.
