I mean, in the 80’s I could raise money in as little as a weekend. In the 90’s it took me less than a month. In the 00’s it took better part of a year. Today I have no idea. I just know that 50K/m in revenue OR candidate for disruption of a major player’s market, OR relationships, are the minimum bar.
– low cost of entry b/c of software low cost of entry that takes it’s multipliers from the internet infrastructure.
– opportunity rich environment.
– search for unicorns (1B+ wins)
– financial speculators not entrepreneurial investors.
It seems to be driven entirely by connections now.
Or you need pretty good revenue prior to investment.
