THE DEFLATIONARY SPECIALIZATION OF WESTERN CIV.

Western Civ (like africa) was unable to capture a monopoly (water) resource as was china, north india, and the middle east. so it took longer to develop wealth through more distributed commerce, because of greater opportunity costs, instead of having the advantage of Mesopotamian or yellow river or indus river civilizations and their warmer climates. Asymmetry of environmental calories alone was prohibited.

However, this apparent disadvantage forced the formation of a very different form of equally distributed capital in every possible part of society.

This distribution caused an opportunity for sovereignty (egalitarian reciprocity) to evolve when combined with metal, wheel and horse.

While I attribute Sovereignty to western martial order, and almost all of western achievement due to sovereignty, I am still unable to quite put together how western ‘obsession’ with deflationary reasoning right down to the very structure of our language, is necessarily a consequence? Is it merely that the principal function of truthfulness is deflation? That seems to be the case. But why would that result in deflationary institutions? Deflated methods of communication? Is it just the consequence of a civlization governed by all intents and purposes by a family-funded militia that invested heavily in heavy weaponry and training in every era?

This is why Africa is so interesting to me. Because it seems to me that a christian Africa, with the disadvantage of it’s vast underclass, should simply take longer to develop than other civilizations. Africa does not have the geographic advantage of the levant or the steppe, so that it cannot so easily have gained information from other civilizations. the scale of the desert is inconceivable to all but the Chinese who are equally separated by it.

my view is that christianity grants one another status signals and virtue signals for improving trust, by discounting slights, and thereby making it much easier to develop a commercial order than other religions. Except that europeans developed this behavior more than a thousand years before christianity was imagined. But maybe the current order requires a ‘christianity’ or its equivalent to move the lower classes into higher tolerance for slights, and placing more ‘bets’ on opportunities for cooperation and trade?

Back to deflationary truth – all I can get is that deflationary truth leads to specialization, and specialization to competition between elites? That is the only answer I can come up with. It is fine to speak in myth as long as you don’t bring it into commercial law? Is this all it is? The competition between elites forces the elites in each method of communication to specialize in their method while not justifying the others, in order to seek status among peers?

That is all I can model evolving.
