WEIGHTS AND MEASURES
Throughout history governments (the management team of the marketplace) has seen fit to impose standards of weights and measures – usually by requiring a dominant standard be observed by all traders in the market.
These standards of weight, volume, length, composition (ingredients), naming (champagne), and branding (Mattel) – and sometimes form (design) seem to be incrementally adopted everywhere.
