In relationships I have a sort of switch. I work very hard until the point at which I think hard work wont work, and then something in my head just ‘shuts off’. Even with my ex wife, once I tried to switch it back on again I couldn’t. I can’t get over certain things. I cant get over infidelity with my first wife, or the combination of hoarding and tricking me into fatherhood with my second. Just can’t switch it back on. Conversely I can be in a relationship with almost anyone that I find even reasonably attractive, who will talk with me a lot.
Why does this matter? WOmen seem to be more forgiving of men than men are or women “AS LONG” as men continue to provide.
