OK…. I give in. I want my Porsche. I want open highways. I want to feel spring. I want to see the equinox from a beach. I want to go to a concert. I want service from a waiter who understands grace. I want my Italian leather couch and chair, and my dutch antiques, and my german china.

I am even willing to tolerate the painfully inane ignorance of americans, and the sight of the disintegration of western civilization – at least for a week or two.

Sigh.
