Other than that, The degree to which men discount the thoughts of women about just about anything other than personal relationships is universal in the historical record – and in the science. All men learn the art of ‘listening’ to women. The point is to just help her work through emotions and organize her thoughts, and to feel understood – not to solve whatever problem. But when she does have a problem determine whether it needs solving or not. And solve it when you can. And if you can, by some miracle, discover what makes her feel safe or cared for, then do those things. Most of what women discuss, men simply ignore. (Really).
