We have known this for a very long time.
But aggregates are misleading.
Sexes process information very differently.
We do not test for predictive ability.
We dont test for cognitive bias, which matters more.
The male distibution is wider, with zero women at the extreme.
Everything meaningful occurs on the margin (male).
I advocate for iq, personality, moral and bias testing – in particular the female overrepresentation in conflating tru/false with desirable/undesirable.

the point is that not enough men vote badly to matter, while enough women vote badly to matter.
And not surprisingly, your response utilizes the NAXALT/AXALT fallacy, which is the easiest, quickest, and most universal method of determining feminine cognition. Why? Women’s brains are evolved to obsess over outliers (children, women), demonstrating hyperbolic (hysterical) concern for weak outliers, while men’s brains are evolved to understand everything as a distribution – the majority necessary to maintain or affect state. That’s contrary to all historical evidence. In fact the percentage of women who vote for a candidate on likability is astounding, and combination with voting on looks, is terrifying. In fact we would never have elected a left leaning president without women voters. In large part, women are low information voters who are easily manipulated and bias bias in favor of exporting responsibility onto men. Worse, for every male conspiracy theorist, there are two female oppreseion theorists. The tipping point is securely married with three or more children, more if christian, more if ethnically european.
But in support of half of your observation, there is no correlation with public want and political provision at all. In general the state is self interested, the country is too big and diverse for the centalization of social policy, the financial system’s dominance in economy and politics at the expense of social cohesion, and the war on the middle class to resist it all – because they are the only responsible class – combined with the federal government’s geostrategic role highly skews its behavior in favor of peers and yes against the people. Meanwhile the people would follow europe into suicidal sependency if given the opportunity..
