    WHY ARE FATHERS BETTER SINGLE PARENTS?

    Ok. So the data is beginning to look like single fathers are much better parents producing happier and more successful children than single mothers.

    Given the vast propaganda to the contrary, and the demonization of men by the feminist movement, why would this be true?

    Is there some sort of selection bias? It looks like the researchers try to compensate for it in their models. What else could it be? Is it income or class related? (I suspect that it’s skewed heavily to the right). But the answer doesn’t just leap out at me.

    There is something very valuable to be learned about parenting, and society in answering this question.

    I know we men are an incomprehensible challenge to women, and I know that for almost half of women who have to ‘settle’ they’re carrying someone who may not carry his fair share. But the fact of the matter is that there are just as many women who are either ‘crazy’ or vampires or elegantly sophisticated prostitutes or all of the above. And I think that’s even worse that some unemployed guy who sits around drinking beer and watching sports on television. I mean, women can get rid of us by walking away. For some reason, we’re supposed to give permanent transfusions to vampires. Argh.

    It looks like the majority of women here in Kiev are pretty good cooks.

    In no small part due to the absence of the kind of false dietary propaganda produced in the USA for the past hundred years.

    The fashion in the states is to use fresh food quickly prepared but to combine tastes from multiple cuisines. Its good. But it’s very expensive.

    Ukrainian food is still old fashioned meat and vegetables with fat supplying the sweetness. Although heavy on potatoes ( which along with corn syrup, wheat, pasta and MSG are terrible for your waistline and chance for diabetes) the locals are fit and trim.

    Eat paleo. Hug women who cook paleo.

    It’s just safer, even in THIS conversation with an exceptionally wise and rational woman, to choose as we men do in ALL conversations with women, to allow any woman to preserve their illusions of rationality and circumstantial superiority. 🙂

    The purpose of women’s gossip, nagging, conjecture, impulsivity and emotional irrationalism, is to constrain alphas from within a position of perpetual weakness. First to motivate their female peers, who then motivate their male mates and relations, to constrain power-seeking alphas. Women do this not with reason, but with complaint, distortion and annoyance.

    Alphas are a problem both for males and females. But males must cooperate to take down an alpha.

    There is a small body of work at present that suggests that the suppression of alphas by gossip is the primary reason for the development of language, not as was previously thought, coordination in hunting. Or that cooperation evolved both in hunting, and in constraint of alphas in tandem.

    This is collective rallying through gossip is the power of women. It is the only power of women. Males are demonstrably superior both physically and mentally, at least as a group, because males SPECIALIZE. And while men may not understand the power of women in the sense that they can articulate it. They feel it. 🙂

    But I, like most men, am quite aware of the balance between our superiority and the power of women to rally other men to suppress us. Unfortunately for me, as a specializing alpha, I’m entirely conscious of what’s going on. 🙂

    If this does not illustrate what is occurring in the sea change that is taking place in western democracies as little more than an expression of feminine instincts, then nothing will. 🙂

    In America, men are trained to eschew all violence against women, even the most minor, the threat of it, the verbal expression of it, and even the demonstration of their superior strength or speed.

    We are taught that everything is always our fault, that women have the right to be irresponsible in word and action and to walk away at the first sign of danger.

    My father had an abusive temper and was prone to violence. I both inherited this trait and almost completely suppressed it. The best technique I learned is to simply walk away. To vote with my feet. And to return when cooler heads prevail.

    For some reason, which I suspect is connected to my minor autism, I inspire frustration in the women I am with. I must train every woman not to use minor violence against me. So this prohibition is asymmetric in America.

    Dating here in Ukraine is interesting. And walking away is considered not gentlemanly, but weak. It is an enormous insult to the woman. Partly I suspect because it denies them their feeling if power. And oddly enough, the women seem to actually want you to be physically dominant with them when they ate emotionally raging.

    Which is just programmed out of me entirely.

    Furthermore, women do not see themselves as weak here like their american counterparts do – even while denying it at every opportunity. They see men as physically strong and dangerous. But not that they have any particular advantage. Women know that manipulating men is trivially easy. And they master their craft like no other women on earth. I have heard ” he is just a man” spoken about one man or another from a dozen women now.

    Obviously I haven’t come to terms with this difference in cultural expectations. And I’m not sure I want to.

    But I have to also observe that despite their relative poverty, and because of it, the limited alternatives for masculine signaling have made these men more masculine than their western counterparts.

    And relationships here, once you see through Byzantine nihilism, are less like american marital business partnerships, and more like families.

    It’s a beautiful thing.

    Let me put it this way: monogamy is not in a man’s interest at all. Or rather, it is only in the interest of the 30% of men who are undesirable. And many men are undesirable because men vary more than women, particularly at the extremes.

    Monogamy creates artificial scarcity of men. It’s a bad deal for women in gene selection, but it’s a good deal for women in an agrarian economy in terms of support for her offspring. For the upper fifth of men, monogamy is a very high cost of opportunity. For the Tiger Woods’ of the world, its an absurdity.

    The question we have to ask, is if we lose the family, and we lose monogamy, then what will a) those undesirable men do and b) how will men start to signal?

    I look around the world and I look at history, and this is the stuff that heady murder is made of.
