THE MISSING LOGICS THAT THE ANCIENTS FAILED TO SOLVE, AND THE RETURN OF INDO EUROPEAN CIVILIZATION’S SYSTEM OF EDUCATION

    (very important post)

OBSERVATION (empiricism) AND FREE ASSOCIATION (CREATIVITY)

–“The study of creativity, by filling the mind with information and conducting free association. The most important of which is the childhood study of fairytales, myths, legends, and history.

    The TRIVIUM (Justification) (advocacy)

—“The Trivium is a systematic method of critical thinking used to derive factual certainty from information perceived with the traditional five senses: sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. In the medieval university, the trivium was the lower division of the seven liberal arts, and comprised grammar, logic, and rhetoric (input, process, and output).”—

    TESTIMONIALISM (Criticism) (testimony)

Testimonialism is a systematic method of warrantying that one has done due diligence than an intuition, observation, hypothesis, theory, or argument, is as free of imagination, error, bias, wishful thinking, suggestion, and deceit as is possible with the knowledge available.

THE QUADRIVIUM (Correspondence with reality) (Physics)

–“the quadrivium may be considered to be the study of number and its relationship to physical space or time: arithmetic was pure number, geometry was number in space, music number in time, and astronomy number in space and time. Morris Kline classifies the four elements of the quadrivium as pure (arithmetic), stationary (geometry), moving (astronomy) and applied (music) number.”—

    PROPERTARIANISM (Correspondence with Cooperation)

A systematic method for the study of cooperation and it’s use in personal, interpersonal, reproductive, productive, commons, conflict, and war.

    PHILOSOPHY, MORALITY, POLITICS AND LAW.

In that great era of transformation, only Darwin and Einstein succeeded.

That all men in all other fields failed tells us something. And in telling us it explains many things.

That Einstein was so late, tells us more.

What is it in the western mind that we failed to overcome? What remnant of mysticism plagued us that did not plague the ancients? Why could we produce the calculus, evolution and relativity but not testimonial truth, criticism and warranty?

Why did we spend a century and our inheritance in Keynesian economics? Why did we fail at the strict construction of law? Why did we abandon eugenics?

The answer to these questions is as insightful into the mind of western man as is the understanding that we invented and used truth.

    (riffing off eli’s ‘confession’)

I set out to provide western man a rational and scientific language for arguing in support of his ancient civilization’s traditions. In doing so I discovered that it’s truth in the scientific sense, and sovereignty in the legal sense, and individualism in the political sense, that are the source of western uniqueness: our martial heritage as a voluntary warrior militia, not one of obedient soldiers.

So my work asks us to return to truth telling in every aspect of our daily lives. And to require truth telling in the commons by treating information as a commons that we must protect from pollution just as we do land, sea, air, and the animal and plant life under our care.

But if the people who are inspired by a demand for truth are racist, sexist, bigoted, straight, white, men, then that in itself tells us something profound, both about those men and about those who do not seek the truth, and who criticize those men.

I see my work as for the betterment of all mankind. As a necessary evolution from the superstitious to the mystical to the reasonable to the rational to the scientific – to the truthful. As our means of transcendence.

And so I am a scientist because I am a truth-ist. I am a nationalist because I am a truth-ist. I am a class-ist, because I am a truth-ist. I am a masculinist because I am a truth-ist. I am a nomocracy-ist because I am a truth-ist. I am a market-government-advocate because I am a truth-is. I advocate these things because they are objectively good for man. I do not just criticize the alternatives because reason and evidence tell me that they are bad for man. I see no value in criticizing others for advancing their interests. I see only value in advancing the good because the alternatives are good for some group or other, but not good for mankind as a whole.

Well, when you work in physics or any other physical science you must account for all the information. When you work in mathematics, aside from the problem of limits, you must account for all information. If you use propertarian argument, you can, in matters of human behavior, account for all information.

The more I work on the subject the more I understand that our history as moral creatures gave us tragic cognitive biases that take years of work to overcome.

If you are thinking sentimentally, reasonably, morally, rationally, or even scientifically, then you are probably not accounting for all the information: incentives.

Because information affects incentives in the human mind, the way information affects other information in the physical world.

This subject is worthy of a lot of research.

We are used to making decisions and considering sufficiency for decisions we account only for what we perceive as sufficient information.

Yet, we can test over and over again in in cognitive psychology, that humans CANNOT IGNORE information they are exposed to. They are forever changed by it just as physical objects are forever changed by the information (energy) that they are exposed to.

Information is the model that unifies the physical, cognitive, and social sciences. And accounting for information both positive (cooperative) and negative (parasitic) is the way we unify the sciences.

    Peter,

It’s troubling instead that we are experiencing the deterministic consequences 100 years of innumerate policy and 50 years of pseudoscientific and contra rational policy — and we’re just larger and wealthier, with no regional competitors, so the deterministic outcome took longer to play out.

So if the choice is between your assessment of oddity or my assessment of predictability, the explanatory power of my rather parsimonious suspicion seems like a far better truth candidate. 😉

You weren’t there in 1980 when we planned to try this. I was. It is strange

that immigration was the tipping point rather than state bankruptcy. But this

    event will do. 😉

We will have our revolution one way or another. We just need the excuse

on one hand and a viable alternative on the other.

I am nearly done with the latter. 🙂

This year or next. Not long now.

    Truth is enough.

Cheers from the land of cryptic

    phflosophy.

    🙂
