Regarding “honor-in-deceit”, let’s tease this out because it is beyond that. If you remember Japanese, say during WWII, only cowards surrender. I true warrior would rather die in battle or by suicide (not agreeing with hat, just observing).
So here we have not just “honor-in-deceit” but “mocking, and gloating”, so that if you TRUST and show HONOR and get cheated — you got punked like a farm animal and are shat upon.
Then if you simply close the doors and say never again they come back, please please or you are racist! to let them in. Then you will get punked again and they laugh and mock you.
Let’s Repeat That:

They POISON the MORAL WELL, and leave only the option for physical retaliation.

Religion always manages the women, the children, and men until they have ‘skin in the game’ and ‘responsibility over others’. So religiosity decreases with pareto increases. I would be more religious if I were a laboring class guy. I’m not I’m a 1%er in almost every way possible.

@curtdoolittle I agree but 100y is a short time span. Religion is nessisary due to IQ spread. A 150+ person like you can really only lead 130+ people, but religion sidesteps this. It can contain different truths at different levels of analysis, while binding everyone together.

Yes, the thing is, nassim tried to find an empirical solution and couldn’t, so he’s come around FINALLY to the law: we can only WARRANTY not prove. As such, skin in the game is colloquial proxy for western rule of law: warranty of due diligence.

OK. Um I’m talking about the common law in the old sense as ‘the traditional law’ which consists of sovereignty and tort. In both UK and USA ‘common law’ often includes legislation that violates sovereignty and tort. In my work I make a clear distinction between the one law (reciprocity) common law (findings of the court), legislative law (improving or undermining the common law and the one law) and regulation (enforcement of legislative law whether it improves or undermines the common law and the one law)
I refer to tort when I want to remind people that legislation and regulation do not necessarily (and often do not) preserve our natural, customary, traditional, rule of law by findings of law.
The legislature’s original purpose was to choose whether the monarchy’s demand for the population to bear costs was acceptable to the regions,the warriors, the militia, and sometimes out of pragmatism) to the people.
The ‘enlightenment’ took the power of commons choice out of the hands of the monarchy and put it into the republic (elected representatives, and the peerage (local governors)).
The marxist and social democratic movement reversed our civilization by expanding the commons such that they violated our underlying natural law of reciprocity, in favor of the rest of humanity’s underclass demand for proportionality, and upon receiving proportionality, the political and underclass demand for equality of outcome.
So, great question.
