    Religion sells fake status just as leftism sells fake status. Religion sells artificial good feelings – a method of lying to oneself as a method of dealing with the harshness of life – just as leftism does.

    NPCs seem to need these lies, or an alternative that provides them the same service: “You don’t have to think, you can feel good/more secure/optimistic about yourself and about life even if you have no reason to, and you can feel like life has a grand meaning even if it is false.”

    The only alternative we can offer them is a “religion” (rituals/training/symbolic reminders) of stoicism/ancestor “worship” (admiration/thanks), which requires being honest with oneself, and a fairly secure place in our pack *if* they can add some value and not advocate for theft.

    As far as I can tell, far less than half the world’s population is capable of that. Some NPCs may be able to live under our system, and we can do their thinking for them, if they can resist the urge to lie and rebel against the truth. But I am doubtful most people can handle it. Thus we must *separate* from those who cannot do it, and *transcend* apart from them, embracing our role as the world’s master class/race (including the minority of non-whites with the agency to join us) as we have been for centuries.

    Our attempt to lift up the world’s teeming masses by letting them immigrate and live under our law, or invading them and imposing the superficial structure of our laws, has failed. Because they are not like us. We are a minority on earth, and our strategy must reflect that. We can benefit them via our advancements, from across a high wall, and provide them with help to transcend as they request it *respectfully*, from across a high wall.

    Separate. Transcend.

    I remember reading “The Screwtape Letters” and Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” about the same time and I understood immediately the difference between authoritarian submissiveness (supernatural) and voluntary heroism (supernormal). We can achieve the supernormal, we are forbidden and submit to the supernatural.

    Our myths are SUPERNORMAL. Even our ancestors (ghosts) are supernormal, rather than supernatural.

    The european cultural metaphysics sees nothing as unattainable by man (competition). The semitic cultural metaphysics sees most as unattainable (submission).

    I’ve said this before but religion was the “Hard Problem of Social Science”. I understood the problem of calculation early because of my work in software and AI. It took me only about year to solve the problem of government. It took me about a year to solve the problem of truth. It took about two years (cumulatively) to solve the problem of law and grammars, but cumulatively it took me almost three years to solve the problem of Fitness + Religion + Education + Training.

    We live in a natural world. The Mere belief in an old order and the mere feeling of how that order looks like or how it would look like in this age is not the right way to re-evolve it. Evola and Doolittle are observing the same thing, but the holes of Doolittle’s sieve are much smaller compared to those of Evola’s. If Evola and Doolittle are to observe, for example, the solar system, Evola would propose that the reason a planet orbits the sun is that its matter has some kind of tendency for orbiting or a sort of motility. But Doolittle WILL explain that the reason a planet orbits the sun is a central force which varies exactly inversely as the square distance from the center. Now what I’m aiming at is that while Evola knows exactly what he wants to impose, he lacks A THEORY, he lacks a scientific language that would’ve helped him in understanding what he intuited, and therefore he fell into many traps, one of them is the savior myth. What we need is a scientific research paper that uses measurements and organizational charts not intuitions and poetic licenses.

    [L]ikewise, accepting supernatural authority without direct, testifiable, experience of the people and events, and miracles(magic) is an act of faith. Whereas due diligence in science is an effort to disprove a theory, not prove one. we cannot prove science. We can only find possibilities and seek to falsify them until we can’t. When we can’t falsify them (because of coherence, consistency, and correspondence, and explanatory power, and parsimony) then we have to admit to ourselves that it’s likely true. So it’s not true that one has ‘faith in science’ but one simply does the hard work of falsifying our fantasies such that only that which we cannot make false remains – that’s the entire point of scientific research: to perform due diligence against your imagination, by producing measurements that eliminate the possibility of your imaginings. The problem is that one can read either the research or other’s fictionalism or sensationalism of that research. And it takes great knowledge to understand such research, while only takes the mind of a child to understand mythology by intuition and imitation. So knowledge < wisdom < parable describe a means of graceful failure from those who possess knowledge and ability to those that possess neither. We can train people’s intuition many ways, and it turns out that abrahamic religion, like marxism, postmodernism, and feminism, is just the worst way possible.

    [W]ell, this confuses Sanity with Agency. Can a sane man do so? Well, evidence that sane and insane people do so. The question is can a man possessed of Agency do so? I mean, for all intents and purposes I ‘believe’ in the characters of history although they are constructed through recursive narrative improvement into myths. That does not stop me, but helps me refer to them (imitate them) in disposition, frame of mind, and method of problem solving. The question is, whether you are imitating a history, a myth, or an occult version of whatever it is, and the assumptions you have about the universe when you imitate each of those criteria. Ergo: are you Relying on Knowledge (techne/history), Seeking Wisdom (general rules), or Seeking false comfort (falsehoods)? Christians tend to make pretty good people – a dumb christian is still a lot better than just about anything else because of its optimism (exhaustive forgiveness) which is the optimum group evolutionary strategy.     This is the element of ‘faith’ in christianity. And it turns out to be correct: exhausting opportunities for cooperation before retaliating is the optimum cooperative strategy – there is none better. Nearly all humans (and animals) will cooperate given enough time to learn its value. Faith, in all its forms, is merely a way to circumvent problem solving when the neural (Bayesian) accounting (calculation) is beyond our capacity to reason. So faith allows us to ignore our intuitions and frustrations and calmly continue our efforts, with some semblance of piece of mind (confidence) in the outcomes. The rest of christianity is just nonsense. The act of ‘praying to’ (role playing with) a super-parent (fictional character) that you cannot lie to (omniscience) simply works by taking advantage of our innate abilities to self program our intuitions (pre rational searching). Role playing with Gods (eternal, magical), Demigods (immortal), heroes (simple superiors), and Ancestors and parents (our own heroes as children), works for the same reason talking to priests, shrinks, and friends works: if we can train ourselves not to lie to ourselves the role playing will ‘work’. We consist of a physical body, a set of physical (cognitive) biases, a set of intuitions that are limited by those biases, and our ability to reason, and speak. Speech allows us to program our intuition and therefore compete with our genetic biases that evolved under primitive circumstances of the pack and tribe. THere is nothing terribly magical about this process. Nor need there be. The stoics learned how to do it without superstition. The buddhists did not. There is no reason we cannot ‘train ourselves’ in stoicism on the one hand, and role playing with heroes, demigods, and gods on the other, while not understanding what it is that we do. It is far better than allowing ourselves to be constantly manipulated by priests, politicians, public intellectuals, and marketers of all kinds. Fairy tales -> Myths and Legends -> Historical Biographies -> Histories -> Legal Histories + Economic Histories + Technological Histories -> The Sciences -> Mathematics.I talk to my god every day. I largely do what he informs me. I do not however mistake his existence for his function. The simpleton cannot do such a thing. But he can worship nature, ancestors, and not be taught lies.

This is why ARISTOCRACY conquerors with violence, and adopts Religions and Priesthood to Rule (morally) and retains Law to Rule (commercially), and retains Violence to Rule (militarily). 5) All religious content contains (a) group evolutionary strategy (method of cultural warfare), (b) normative law, and (c) constitutional law (limitations on the people and the ruler). 6) The western Myth during our ascent was Homer (The Tragedy of Achilles) (Heroic Aristocracy). The semites adopted this and reversed it as the Tragedy of Jesus (victim as hero). Our ascent in the late medieval world was due to the restoration of Aristotle (Power over nature) and restoration of commerce (HRE/Hansa Trade), and rapid expansion (colonialism by sail). The Semites retaliated with The Tragedy of Labor (victim as hero), followed by the revolt against Darwin (The Anti-Nazi Cult – victim as hero). What narrative will compete with them?

The problem is, that all cults are likewise, cultural warfare against something (others), but provide a positive corpus. The reason we have not solidified an alternative is the lack of a positive corpus (mythos).
