Religion: The marriage of ignorance and confidence. This is true, but only if a religion is false. The only true religion I know of combines the ritualization of stoicism, ancestor, hero, civilization, nature ‘thanks’ (worship) for the debt we owe them for our inheritance.

I mean, our priesthood became purely ritualistic, functioned more as bankers than educators. and our philosophyers took over the role, but stoicism didn’t have the same amount of time as buddhism, and had to fight xianity like buddhism had to fight hinduism.

So I would say that the christian ethic was already present and it was necessary as the lower classes gained agency under Aryan civilization – because until then they were treated like domesticated animals and christianity made the lower classes self domesticating – at a cost.

As you’re pointing out, the ideal man prototype that jesus represented was already in the IE canon, whether persian, indian, or european, and was coalescing. The church was like wokeness and insurrection movement by the unfit for european civilization.

He was. However, once we expanded into the South Eurasian gene pool we tried our law, philosophy and religion on a people who were a full standard deviation in IQ lower, more than half we would consider disabled, and who had thousands of years of indoctrination into mysticism.
