UNSOLICITED OPINION – THE PETERSON HARRIS DEBATE

    (video to follow)

Quick impromptu video for the Peterson Harris Debate.

    SUMMARY OF THE ARGUMENT

    SECTION I

1 – For the most ancient of reasons, the West alone relies on Sovereignty as its organizing principle (decidability of last resort).

2 – Choosing Sovereignty requires natural law (reciprocity) to resolve disputes (via negativa).

3 – And conversely choosing Sovereignty requires markets in everything to organize cooperation. (via positiva) (association, cooperation, reproduction, production, production commons, production of polities, production of group evolutionary strategies)

4 – Markets allow for cooperation on means despite different ends, given different abilities, different resources, and different specializations.

    SECTION II

5 – Philosophies allow for decidability within a domain.

6 – Truth allows for decidability regardless of domain.

7 – Deflationary truth allows for truthful arguments regardless of domain.

8 – Deflationary truthful arguments can be warrantied for due diligence against ignorance, error, bias, wishful thinking, suggestion and deceit. As well as a demand for productive, fully informed, warrantied, voluntary exchange free of negative externality. it is extremely difficult for false argument to survive due diligence against all dimensions of the human ability to reason.

9 – The challenge of our time is the industrialization of lying in the pseudoscientific era.

10 – The solution to the industrialization of lying is the demand for warranty of due diligence in market, law, economics, and politics.

11 – The returns on the suppression of the industrialization of lying by operationalism will be greater than the returns on the returns on the suppression of mysticism by empiricism.

    SECTION III

12 – Peterson’s conflation in the literary (Platonic) tradition is anti western and unnecessary. It is the competition between conflationary narrative analogy, and deflationary operational criticism that assists us in identifying truth candidates. All civilizations that practice conflation stagnate. Literature is sufficient for the loading and framing and experiential without resorting to truth claims.

13 – Harris cherrypicks in the pseudoscientific tradition, fails to account for changes in state of the full scope of capital, and the lost opportunities for productive voluntary exchange. (This will take some explaining.) Most frequently he gives parasitic action a pass if he agrees with it.

(One or two years ago Harris issued a challenge as to whether morality could be scientifically expressed. I lacked the time (or inclination) to do so, but it can be (easily and thoroughly and irrefutably). And it is just as dehumanizing as the work of Darwin and Copernicus.)

    CLOSING

Western civilization is dependent upon a return to fully calculable institutions and in particular deflationary, performative, promissory truth.

    NOTES:

Followers know that I have a rigorous definition of what constitutes scientific and therefore truthful speech. My use of the term ‘pseudoscience’ refers to the addition of or subtraction of information that must be complete in order to render decidability. To perform due diligence of truthfulness requires:

    1 – categorical consistency – Identity – non conflation

2 – logical consistency – internal consistency, non contradiction.

    3 – empirical consistency – external correspondence – falsification

    4 – existential consistency – operational language – consistency.

5 – reciprocity-consistency – moral reciprocity of property in toto.

6 – scope consistency – full accounting and specified limits.

These questions are easily testable in a court of law. Any article or contract may be written in these terms.

  • Has The World Been Plunged Into A Dark Immoral Age?

    1. History is best understood in retrospect not during its making. We are definitely in an era of superstition for the past century – since the rise of all fundamentalisms in reaction to the enlightenment, and then darwin, culminating in current postmodernism. And our new ‘secular religion’ is more intolerant and demanding of falsehoods than any religion ever dreamed of being.
    2. Violence is only a measure of one form of theft. In every era theft shifts as wealth increases. It shifted from murder to theft, then theft to fraud, and fraud to information-fraud. It is arguable that far more theft occurs today than at any time in history, it just occurs through money and credit manipulation and because we are wealthier we just don’t ‘feel’ it. But if you look at what percent of our incomes are ‘taken’ today it’s horrifying compared to the 1–3% taxation that was common throughout history
    3. We seem to have had a number of dark ages over the past 15,000 years, the most obvious one’s being the black sea deluge era, the 1800–1200 bronze age collapse. the Justinian Plague/Muslim Expansion we call the medieval Dark Ages, and now it appears the one that began with the european civil war (the world wars) and truncated the second scientific and cultural revolution occurring in Germany at the time.
    4. All dark ages are identifiably caused by migration periods that disrupt patterns of trade, or plagues or climate changes, that disrupt production. We are currently undergoing one of the greatest demographic shifts in world history. And this is occurring during a period of rebalancing of powers. If successful then we will return to regional powers peacefully. if not we will – as is usual in history – likely encounter some set of wars.
    5. For these reasons it’s arguable that we have been entering a dark age, and that the 20th century is merely a unique period where the accumulated technological and social developments of western civlization from 1200–1900 have been distributed around the world, but the consequences of which have resulted in dramatic demographic changes and political changes that have traditionally produced wars.

—“Anyone ever read Weber’s “The Protestant Ethic?”—

I think the intellectual consensus is that weber confused cause and consequence. The protestant ethic was around for 4000 years, but was brought into its peak starting in 7-800 by the use of manorialism starting in holland. Spreading rapidly across the Hajnal line, and roughly in concert with the prohibition on cousin marriage. Protestants possessed the work ethic, but protestantism did not create it. Conversely it appears the work ethic created or justified protestantism.

  • I think the problem is that the past was honest but justified it supernaturally,

….I think the problem is that the past was honest but justified it supernaturally, because the promise of reward was after death. Whereas the present is dishonest and justified pseudo-scientifically and promised if we can reach a socialist utopia or some variation thereof. The medieval order was hierarchical and honest. The only false promise was after death. We live in a world of loneliness and lies….

We are prosecutors. Why? We have taken away the benefit of the doubt under which the first great lie of the Jews (christianity), and the second great lie of the jews (marxism/ socialism/ libertarianism/ neoconservatism) has infected the west and which we still seek to escape from.

Propertarianism only asks whether you speak truthfully and warranty your statements, and whether you bear a cost or earn a profit, or cause a cost or earn a profit by the argument you make.

We have ended the great lies.

You no longer have the benefit of the doubt. We no longer seek justification for you to avoid blame, we seek survival from criticism, as your warranty, and resulting out come as your guilt or innocence.

In public speech, you are guilty until found not guilty.

That is what you have done.
