Then don’t come, those are the terms. All they do is decrease the salary for native workers, and in tech at least it ends up in investor pockets. This isn’t about being fair. It’s privilege to work in these environments, and american workers pay for it.

Reality is that 120M european americans cannot produce sufficient numbers to do the work. There just aren’t enough of us. There are only 750M white people in the world. There are nearly twice as many in both india and china. As for pay/hours: thats not a complaint given salaries.

I’ve had to rescue projects in india. But India is evolving rapidly – in the past 20 years the tech biz has morphed extraordinarily. Still, It’s difficult to replace american, nordic, german, and russian programmers because it’s a cultural disposition – like italian craftsmen.

Now, as a career CEO, my what I want to hear is “i have identified ths problem, and I can suggest two or three solutions, and i’ve thought it through and we can make it happen like this…”
Otherwise it’s a waste of my time.
If it’s not a customer or revenue problem it’s not.

In the list of 1000 problems they are aware of that need to be fixed, what is the priority of it, vs all the rest? ANd will it really make a meaningful difference?

It would be nice to reverse the hollowing out of the center in the states, yes. But to accomplish this we need a Marshall Plan for ourselves. 😉

So what we observe in women and Ashkenazim vs male Europeans is the work capacity of the female, empathizing, verbal, in-time, brain is higher than the male systematizing, physical and spatial. Just like females have more copies of DNA for cellular repair.

I don’t know. Huge misallocation of talent into financial and credential sectors at the expense of scientific, engineering, and military sectors. Not even sure we have the ability to manufacture dumb ammunition until Canada gets its production of basic minerals online.

You’ve apparently never run an organization of scale. As scale increases the person with authority decreases the number of decisions to those with the longest production cycle of the business and increases the population of people who decide what he doesn’t.
