    1) Governments, in all cases, evolved like all organizations, using force to profit from the revenue generated by incremental domestication of humans, into production, versus having that revenue captured by others. Citizen customers provide higher returns than serfs and slaves.

    2) This ‘voluntary laborer’ versus Socialist Worker, Serf or Slave is why communism, socialism, capitalism and anarchism fail, because the largest number of productive people have traditionally provided one of the resources necessary to conquer others and obtain those revenues.

    3) So the very opposite of Walsh’s OP is true: Governments exist to provide the maximum extraction (rents) at while maintaining the minimum incentives necessary for the strong to take possession of the government by force, and themselves take the proceeds. All else is lies.

    4) We can test this theory in every organization at every scale in every city, state, empire in history. Because all organizations grow to accumulate rent-seeking until lacking sufficient (all) capital reserves to incentivize adaptation to shocks, trade route loss, or conquest.

    5) In the current era the means of holding power is to produce enough undermining of rule of law, undermining of the markets of cooperation between genders classes and tribes, disinformation, especially economic, that conquest by immigration is possible before its perceived.

    6) Which is why I am certain that ‘never again’ will be ‘yes again’ because the people who undermine civilizations as a group strategy never seem to learn from their thousands of years of failure.

    7) I never err. Ever.

    THE INVERSION

    by Luke Weinhagen

Oppression is another inversion, mistaking endpoint for start point.

Western success is the effect, the endpoint, of an increasingly efficient and effectively insured process of self-domestication over time. (the US being an experiment in the protection of investment in self-domestication)

This has been turned on its head, into starting with rather than finishing with western success. It is being sold that western success is the cause of, the path to, self-domestication and that denying access to that success is why others remain undomesticated – i.e. oppressed.

(like the Golden Rule stack inversion)

Those questions that appear big, meaningful, or difficult rarely are – but if deprived of meaningful history (demographics, technology, economics, and law) they appear so.

    1) Corporations: We invented Markets to force cooperation (legislation), Markets to Cooperate in (markets for consumer goods, services, and information), and Markets To Suppress violations of cooperation (Courts.) The State disintermediated the people on purpose from suing corporations, so that they could increase tax revenues. (research coal and rail damage in England). This violates the Common Law tradition of sovereignty and reciprocity decided by tort (trespass) and is easily reversed and restored. There is no reason whatsoever that we lack ‘standing’ to sue corporations (politicians, bureaucrats), in matters of the commons (class actions). Restore it, restore libel and slander. Although hard to do, we might want to restore laws against Shrews and Shrewing (Gossip, undermining, and shrill behavior. look it up. Your screaming leftist would be in stocks for most of our history.)

    2. Free speech. Free speech is not a difficult problem. It became a difficult problem with the end of the Duel, and the extension of that prohibition to prohibition on interpersonal discipline (inflating assault), and inflation into the prohibition on self-defense, defense of marriage, family, and property. There weren’t many extra-judicial punishments in our history but there isn’t much evidence that they weren’t justified. The reason our ancestors were better mannered was that the costs of ill-mannered behavior were high. It’s terribly easy to tell the difference between free and unfree speech: It’s either testifiable, reciprocal (ethical and moral), and warrantable – or it isn’t. If it isn’t testifiable, reciprocal, and warrantable, then its not possible to claim it’s truthful and moral. We test this every single day in courts here and around the world. We prosecute companies every single day. It’s not difficult to extend this law from commercial to political, to intellectual speech. We do it somewhat in the hard sciences – although the soft ‘sciences’ would nearly disappear, and economists would be hanging from lamp posts.

    3. Social Media Companies. Legislation always lags when it doesn’t impact state authority. There is no argument to be made that Google-search (yellow pages, library), Wikipedia (Encyclopedia), Twitter (news), Facebook-messenger (communication), and Youtube-Instagram (publication, media) are not necessary infrastructure. that is indifferent From Electricity, Yellow Pages, Telephone, Network, and Cable. All of which are (heavily) regulated to ensure free movement of information EXCEPT pornography or conspiracy to commit crime.

    4. The underlying problem is whether we are going to preserve the American experiment in the ‘third way’ of Majority Middle-Class Meritocracy under the common law of equals, or revert to continental ( church, aristocracy) division of ruled and rulers, under the Napoleonic (totalitarian) code. The answer is of course, that we can afford to do either, and have immigrated so many underclasses that it’s not possible to preserve our American experiment, in extending the rights of Englishmen, anglo Saxons, germanic peoples, and west Indo-Europeans that has been the secret of our success: Truth before face regardless of cost, Duty before self, sovereignty, reciprocity the jury, and the natural common law of tort. … and the problem it leaves us with. The dirty secret of western civilization is that we have been eugenic since our beginning. And both Christianity in the ancient world and in the modern Boas, Freud, Marx, Adorno et al, Derrida et al, and the current neoliberal -postmodern dogmatists are advancing a host of different ‘re-wildings’ of mankind in order to achieve their ends: ending the eugenic civilization we call the west.

People were not oppressed. They were domesticated. And that’s what we see in the genetic record.

    CONSERVATISM UNDERSTOOD

    (worth repeating)

A conservative questions the overestimation of reason, and above all questions consensus. Conservatism is familial, stoic, pragmatic, and empirical. In other words risk averse to capital.

As a means of questioning, a conservative requires reciprocity (tort): american < british < anglo saxon < germanic < european < norther indo european in law. That law evolved from the oath (tell the truth, never steal, never flee, in combat).

A Conservative requires empirical results – and where empirical fails, the traditional is adequate, since traditional survived empirical tests in competition in reality.

A Conservative accumulates genetic, cultural, normative, institutional, physical, and territorial capital – attempting to pass on to future generations of his family, more than he himself inherited.

Conservatism is a eugenic group evolutionary strategy that increases accumulated capital through intergenerational transfer, using intergeneration lending, in order to produce increasingly noble families.

Ergo successful individuals in the market for craftsmanship, successful purchase of the franchise through military service, successful individuals in the market for marriage and child rearing, successful individuals in the market for industry, successful families in the market for noble (intergenerational) families.

In other words, conservatism(aristocracy) is a eugenic group evolutionary strategy. And while bipartite manorialism was practiced from 700, and aggressive hanging of up to 1% of the population every year after 1000, and an attempt to escape church-state nobility, and create an entrepreneurial nobility (meritocracy), succeeded by 1600, there was a great reaction to the english revolution, and a greater reaction to the french revolution. Thus while Locke, smith, hume, adams, and jefferson promised an aristocracy available to everyone, Burke, after the french revolution, and germans after that, recognized that the peasantry was even worse at rule (see russia) than the nobility.

The problem with today’s conservatism is that darwin and spencer were famous before the war, after the second world war, conservatism and eugenics were effectively banned from discourse, academy, and science.

As such conservatives never (until perhaps 2000) restored empirical discourse to conservatism, because eugenics are antithetical to the experiment with democracy. This changed incrementally beginning in 76, through the 80s, and aggressively since 2000, and more aggressively since 2008.

    1 – Sovereignty requires reciprocity

2 – Reciprocity requires rule of law (tort), jury(thang, senate, house of lords, supreme court), and an independent judiciary.

3 – Rule of law forces markets, since it incrementally suppresses each innovation in parasitism.

4 – Markets cause hierarchies, because they are necessary to voluntarily organize production.

5 – Markets are eugenic, because they are empirical means of testing industry and impulse.

6 – But they make possible liberty for those with property, freedom for those who labor, and subsidy for those who impose no costs on sovereignty, liberty, freedom, or property.**

    DOMESTICATION

Man domesticated the human animal after he had learned to domesticate the non-human animal. And he did so by the same means. And the result in both domestication of the human and non human animal is the same: eugenics.

    CONSERVATIVES

Most conservatives do not write philosophy, they run businesses, or write history, economics, science, and law. (I write because I was successful enough in multiple businesses to spend my time writing full time.) Conservatives also are actively suppressed in academy and media.

This has been true since the end of the war and teh rise of the Frankfurt School, and the Postmodern school, both of which were necessary after the failure of marxist pseudoscience. (a pseudoscience marx died knowing, since he stopped writing as soon as he read the Mengerians, and kept silent only to keep the checks coming in from Engels.)

    AUTHORS TO READ

Burke, Hayek, Burnham, Sowell, Buchanan, Murray, and maybe Nietzsche. Veblen.

Anyone in Hoover or Heritage institutions.
