    Probably not obvious, but the eastern orthodox church has succeeded by knowing its place and function, having smaller numbers, and so being less diverse, being a state religion and by proximity to hostiles (islam, turkey, the stans.).

    Catholic church doubled down on (a) rule, (b) bureaucracy, and (c) dogma, and (d) they failed at both rule at home and colonial rule abroad, and (e) the dogma which while elegant could not reform.

    The protestant churches couldn’t reform.

    The evangelicals reformed and restored christianity to it’s origins as folk religion not a political religion.

    Islam can’t reform.

    judaism needs pressure to reform.

    Buddhism hardly needs reform.

    Shintoism is perfect as it is, and a lesson for us all.

    @EricRWeinstein The only organizations that ever prevent calcification are the pre-clinton military, pre-1960 judicial common law, and post 1970 surgical, for the simple reason that people suffer and die if one err’s. European civ’s law and science are an application of military epistemology.

    Me: “I almost forgot. We have good Catholics around here.”

    Him: “I’m not so sure about good, but we do have Catholics.”

    Waves. Turns. Moves on. Door closes.

    I put the palm behind the calendar near the door.

    My mother is gleeful. I want to eye roll but I don’t.

    I have to wait for May Day (Beltane) to celebrate the spring.

    And it requires a bonfire. 😉

    And I have ideas for the kindling.

    asians do not have a very high IQ. they have a slighting higher iq for reasons we understand – the used credit to institutionalize soft eugenics. In just a few generations you can raise the distribution. Ours was far higher 150 years ago. Immigration is dropping it fast.

    PROCESS:

    I Post on Facebook > weekly backup > post to website > continuous backup > Integrate into ‘book’ on website > continuous backup > publish book.

    I am irregular at posting from FB to the site because I don’t have a way of automating it. I usually do a few months at a time. There are well over ten thousand posts there.

    The website also auto-posts to an hidden fb account as backup.

    We download FB and Site backups regularly

    I do, Brandon does, Martin does.

    In the event anything happens to me ownership passes to individuals in the movement.

    In addition Brandon Hayes collects key posts from everyone and organizes them by dozens of topics. He is also working on a book. Brandon’s inventory is organized differently from the site and my book but it collects information from more members of the movement.
