    —“Curt, Do you advocate XYZ?”—

I provide a RANGE of solutions for different people (which is my job) and an OPTIMUM solution for OUR people. So it is sometimes confusing to readers which I’m talking about.

In other words while there is a perfect government, under normal conditions we must provide sufficient flexibility so that we can celebrate windfalls and suffer wars.

Utopia is for children who wish to avoid the burden of calculation (reasoning as an adatpation to change). To some degree a perfect government provides predictability and adaptability as do markets when subject to pressures of plenty or scarcity. And thereby reduces the burden of calculation of adaptation. And even better, insurance such that it can, by prohibition on rents, and debts (which can be a form of rent), afford to adapt.

Look, we evolved as pack animals and those intuitions you feel but cannot introspectively analyze are intuitions that find comfort in a leader of the pack, membership in the pack, and running with the pack.

We have atomized property and atomized individuals yet we are always pack(male) and herd (female) animals.

There are very few of us that have had occasion to develop the mental discipline to create agency, and therefor understand these impulses as artifacts to be felt, understood, but not acted upon, just as violence, theft, or envy are to be felt, understood, but not acted upon.

It’s not that I don’t understand the desire for a pack(herd) leader, membership in the pack(herd) and the feeling of running with the pack (herd). I do.

It’s that like the impulse to commit other forms of crime exists in many if not all of us to some degree or another, but most of us learn not to act on those impulses.

If you lack agency to do so that’s understandable, but then you lack the agency to make fully rational choices, and as lacking fully rational choices you are not fully human.

And as such unfit for decisions demanding of rationality and agency.

And that decision is the judgement of truth or falsehood.

  • Mankind Does Not Need Many Judges, It Needs a Plan, Generals, and Soldiers.

The number of people alive at anyone time that can transcend the animal is very small. The number who cannot but will follow those who can if it is in their interests is large. The number who will follow those *assuming they will apply the violence to restore the production of agency via truth, sovereignty, reciprocity, and markets in everything, is far and above enough. We convince those that are capable of agency, we provide strategy for those who follow those with it, and provide material incentive to those neither able nor understanding, but whose interests we serve. And we bend the rest to our will or we end the need to. Mankind does not need many judges, it needs a plan, generals, and soldiers. The masses just follow the order the strong institute, and it is very hard to argue with the imposition of natural law by the ongoing suppression of free riding, parasitism and predation, by deceit, fraud, theft, and violence. • The only People Whose Opinions Matter Are Those Who Fight.

—“No one ever assumes they’ll be the one with a gunshot wound in the back of their head after their glorious revolution.”— ( “Wus” ) That’s not true. I think some of us just wanna see how many we can take with us first. Gutless cowards on the other hand say bullshit like that so they can feign courage or wisdom while waiting until the men with balls to the dirty work before they step into the parade, say hoo-rah, and take some of the credit as if like-mindedness is some sorta contribution to the cause…. ๐Ÿ˜‰ The only people whose opinions matter are those who fight. Everyone else is either enemy or enabler…..

People vote POWER given the CONDITIONS of competition. That’s why Democracy works for selecting priorities in a homogenous polity but not choosing differences in a heterogeneous polity, and why there is so much friction between American ‘tribes’.

Not true. People vote their tribes if tribes are competing, and people vote classes if classes are competing. In an homogenous polity people vote class/economically (Power), and in a heterogeneous polity they vote tribally (Power). Or for Signals (Power). They just vote power.

Political affiliation is a matter of identity and self-expression, not economic self-interest (particularly among the well educated). https://t.co/SR0Nb9IYun

  • Laying Down the Law on Social Pseudoscience

@KennethBuff @sapinker People vote POWER given the CONDITIONS of competition. That’s why Democracy works for selecting priorities in a homogenous polity but not choosing differences in a heterogeneous polity, and why there is so much friction between American ‘tribes’. Any time we state an incomplete premise we feed discord by supplying bias confirmation by doing the cherry picking for them. He (Steve) stated an incomplete premise in order to feed the confirmation bias of a majority faction – not the Truth. (Hence the legal requirement for “The Whole Truth and Nothing but the Truth”) What the NYT article referred to conveys is that virtue signaling is a form of conspicuous consumption that one forces others to pay the indirect cost of. (Theft by Fraud) Or stated directly: we are burning the most valuable form of capital in the world (homogeneity and high trust) for virtue signals, in order to obtain political power. If you cannot make a statement in social science using economic terms, then either you don’t know what you’re talking about, or you are engaged in selection bias, or worse, deception. Hence the rise of “Economic Imperialism” in the Academy as a counter to social pseudoscience.
