OFFICE HOURS ANSWERS FROM TODAY 😉
Talking with Martin this morning and his vehement nationalism, anti-eu, anti-nato, anti-american (justifiable) sentiments.
And of course as I consider Martin basically family, I forget that the Czech Republic is the MOST EUROSKEPTIC country in Europe even ahead of Greece.
If you get a chance to see today’s Office Hours Q&A one of the first questions asks Martin and I to debate his and my difference in these sentiments – only to recognize that we both agree on everything except original intent. 😉

I must I think indoctrinate you into the aristocracy that you intuit, that you so clearly judge correctly, but refuse to accept responsibility for, and in doing so recognize the ease of which we can take the power necessary to restore what has been lost. 😉

Thang/Thing: Jury of some size: the governing assembly of free people, made up of the community’s chieftains and farmers. It was used for early forms of legislative and judicial governance in Germanic and other Northern European societies.
– From a PIE *tenk- (1), from root *ten- “stretch,” perhaps on notion of “stretch of time for a meeting or assembly.”
– The Germanic word is perhaps literally “appointed time,”
– From Proto-Germanic *thinga- “assembly”
– From Old Norse þing “public assembly”).
– Old High German ding “public assembly for judgment and business, lawsuit,” German Ding “affair, matter, thing,”
– From Old English þing “meeting, assembly, council, discussion,” later “entity, being, matter” (subject of deliberation in an assembly). Also “act, deed, event, material object, body, being, creature” .
– The sense “meeting, assembly” did not survive Old English.
