The reason children have difficulty in the classroom today is that present methods of teaching focus on the teacher, instead of information organized into simulations and games, and places undue burden on attention, working memory, and memorization without any reason to do so other than stress. THey fail because the methods fail, because the methods are either archaic or pseudoscientific.
Group of Ed Masters candidates asked me to opinine on just the impact of court and legislation on the negative results of education despite the infinite money we throw at it.
    It wasn’t hard.
Multiple premises teachers operate under, plus the combination of teachers with political or social agendas on one side, parents who disagree with them on the other, the use of the law to negate parental preference, the use of the law as an excuse for mediocrity, and the resulting weakness of the teacher to provide guidance that is competitive rather than ‘non conflict generating’ is another reason for the decline.

Or do you mean you aren’t competent enough in the subject matter to produce a cirriculum and lesson plan for the basic ideas so that they are accessible to ten year olds? (and yes, nine year olds are capable of basic narrative explanations of the world).
5th Grade common core grammar is harder than any of manners, ethics, morals, norms, traditions, values, institutions.
5th Grade common cirriculum includes american history constitution, bill of rights, AND the basic sciences of biology, physics, chemistry, astrophysics.
Why doesn’t that include the natural law (reciprocity), the basic understanding of incentives, and how incentive equilibrate, and the seen vs the unseen?
    Of course we can.
Instead we intentionally DON”T prepare children with an understanding of law and economics, despite that their lives and welfare are more dependent on that knowledge than all others.

You clearly aren’t terribly literate then given Faulkner, Dickens, or even Lincoln. Sentences place a burden on working memory, and working memory is a fair proxy for intelligence. One of the reasons to write in operational prose in long sentences is to state something meaningful that only capable people can understand, and in doing so filter out the ‘comments by the unwashed masses’ so to speak. The demand for short sentences is a postwar phenom, due to the military discovery of the practical illiteracy of the people, and the desire to sell newspapers to the working and laboring (lower) classes, in order to promote political agendas via them. Schools have dumbed down education severely over the decades. But then we are losing more than 1 point of IQ per decade and at the present rate will turn into a second world population within 25 years, and a third world population by the end of the century. History will ironically note that the great tragedy of the 20th was not the world wars themselves but the mistaken postwar anti-darwinian movement that reversed the prewar investment in soft eugeics. (if that doesn’t burn you up I don’t know what will).

I have the much harder problem of educating adults who teachers failed to educate, and whose professors failed to educate them in turn, whose professors were intentional trained to ‘undermine the institutions of cultural production’. And if you don’t know that then why do you…

Actually (“Aktchualy”) I’ve worked on this question for decades. And I do know the reality involved. And I’ve studied the introduction of falsehood into the classroom, and the intentional capture of education for the ‘march through the institutions of cultural production’ as well…

What fallacy did you make use of by referring to kindergarden versus k-12? See how you tried to lie without even knowing you were lying?

This is why ethics is necessary, and yes it can be taught incrementally from preschool onward.

This is because (as research has shown) you are teaching incorrectly. Whereas, for example, most of the male world learns english playing video games. And there is nothing that can’t be taught through the dopamine rich experience of adversarial competition in games and simulations.
Like I said your industry has failed, and the teachers, teachers unions, and the DOE, and the pseudocience that has evolved in granting the hierarchy of education degrees, have created resistance to reform that will require a purge if we can’t reform it politically.
How do you know you’re not damaging children rather than improving them? We know. School is very close to prison.

Why is that even relevant compared to training people how those institutions and systems operate for the benefit of us all despite the increase in burden on our emotions, psychology, and physicality? I mean, you’re arguing for teaching a pop narrative negative, treating our history as exceptional rather than ordinary, not teaching that most progress was made prior to the 60’s movements, and that the 60’s activism destroyed the family, while children leave school unable to read, do basic mathematics, reason effectively, grasp the basics of individual finance, how to run a family, how businesses operate, basic accounting, basic contract law and our legal and political system, and world comparative history.
You know why? because it would teach our system of government, and european history as so disproportionately successful versus all the rest, and then you’d violate the ‘ march thru the institutions of cultural production’ that teachers were indoctrinated into, in order to destroy our civilization from within.
    That’s why.
