  • Natural Law on Racial Profiling in Universities

—-”Is it appropriate to racially profile college applicants to promote diversity in admissions?”—- If we use exclusively meritocratic entry, and domestic-only entry, then we aren’t harming anyone in the polity because of their race. If we use profiling (discriminatory) entry, and include international entry, then we **are harming** people in the polity because of their race. The only moral (meaning reciprocal) and non-harmful method of allowing profiling (discrimination) is to allow (create) segregated (race-limited) universities. So we are just (reciprocal, moral) **only** when we have EITHER of the two conditions: (a) domestic merit only, or we have (b) discrimination and voluntary association and disassociation (race – limited universities.) And the current condition is harmful, immoral, unethical, and a violation of natural law of reciprocity.

Religion serves as civic education, and ‘education’ as economic education. If we end the falsehoods in christianity, and restore our church to truthfulness, then we can restore education to the church – and remove the state’s influence from it.

    IF YOU REFORMED CHRISTIANITY

If you took all the falsehood out of christianity then what would remain?

    – The mass (A lesson, an oath, a feast), festivals.

    – The extirpation of hatred from the human heart.

    – The exhaustion of interpersonal forgiveness as the optimum group cooperative strategy.

    – The demand for personal acts of charity.

If you replace life after death with living a good life, persistence through actions, genetic persistence, and human transcendence of our descendents into the gods we imagine.

If you replace lessons against the aristocracy in favor of diasporic pastoralists, and instead restored our original mythology os the trials of homer.

If you restored the festivals with those of heroes, ancestors and the seasons (nature).

If you add ethnocentrism (the optimum group strategy), government by rule of law and markets in everything (the optimum competitive strategy), and stoicism (the optimum mindfulness strategy).

Then you have a religion free of lies.

    Church is a good thing.

What one does there produces mindfulness.

What one learns there can be truth or lie.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF PHILOSOPHY?

    1) To develop mental fitness and distance from our impulses (to develop agency)
    2) To accumulate an inventory of human errors and bias so that we do not make them in our own lives, and are not affected by others who employ them.
    3) To survey the sets of myths and paradigms (stories we tell ourselves) such that we can choose goals in our lives.
    4) (the bad part) to find a verbal means of achieving some degree of the mindfulness that is trainable through religion(mythology), ritual (prayer or repetitious action), and self authoring (stoicism – a ritual), and meditation (a ritual in and of itself). Mindfuless serves as a sedative for animal impulse, without the soporific affect of chemicals
that interfere with processing in general..

As far as I know that is the end of philosophy. The rest is just left to religion(nonsense/lies) or science (decidability/truth).

Nearly all of the corpus of philosophy is reducible to fantasy moral literature (french), or fantasy psychological Literature (german), fantasy pseudoscientific literature (ashkenazi), or the attempt to develop scientific versions of those fields (english, American.)

The problem with science, law proper, and truth proper is that in matters of the personal and social we are not ambivalent neutral surveyors of the material – but seek only personal and group advantage in whatever we can filter from it to advance our interests.

Yet science and truth are uncomfortable and dehumanizing.

So to no small degree, philosophy is PRACTICED as the pseudoscience and pseudo-rationalism of finding excuses that comfort us given our genetic, social, economic, cultural, and temporal conditions without relying on the demands easily falsified and supernatural faith.

In other words, like religion, it’s therapeutic self medication – sedation.

THE MEANING OF “EDUCATION ASSOCIATED GENES”

—“Education-associated genes”? I’m a bit skeptical that such are really verified.”—Rich Berger

It’s just a politically correct term for the 1000+ IQ correlated genes that have been discovered as yet. Most public estimations of IQ are done by degrees (a very bad proxy by the way), and by framing education related genes rather than IQ they circumvent criticism by the anti-IQ-measurement groups.

Я только что открыл The Virtuoso Today, когда Екатерина Макаревич (Екатерина Макаревич) пригласила меня полюбить The Virtuoso Facebook Post.

I just discovered The Virtuoso Today when Ekaterina Makarevich ( Екатерина Макаревич) invited me to like The Virtuoso Facebook Post.

I want to compliment and describe the contents of The Virtuoso site (periodical) but as always it is hard to translate into between our languages.

But I will try: The Virtuoso is an example of philosophy ‘without woo’. It is far closer to the old european (great) and greco-roman (good) teachings than western books on Stoicism or virtues, which are often childlike version of self help with western childish optimism.

Instead, the contributors have restored the pursuit of virtues in a form that is secular, traditional, and rational – lacking the dogma of theology, pseudoscientific pretense, or ‘new age woo’ so common in western thought.

I have been a rigorous advocate of slavic (orthodox) culture for its avoidance of the mistakes of the west. And this is the first publication

The Virtuoso is very close to what I recommend as the restoration of our aristocratic (‘stoic’) virtues, although I would love to see self-authoring (goals and journaling) even more deliberately emphasized.

NOTE: If you use Google Chrome and turn on the Translation functionality, the site will be translated into english well enough to be read. I wish I had the time to contribute an english version, and a german version might be worthwhile as well. But for my Friends in the west who want to understand the traditional mind – this site provides a better answer to our traditional framework than is available anywhere in the west. Anywhere.
