  • Let People Own the Journey

    Jan 30, 2020, 4:25 PM

—(I probably didn’t think you were a dumbass. I am just very careful when helping people on a journey – most of the time if I can tell if someone ‘will get there’ it is better to let them learn HOW to get there than for me to help them get there faster.)—

  • It’s New and Only Hard Until It’s Not

Jan 30, 2020, 6:06 PM by Brandon Hayes P, like everything new, is hard until it’s not. There are many popular thinkers and commentators now that are taking to not differentiating between “hard” and “new.” I like this for the effect it has on framing. It’s only hard cause it’s new; and it’s only new cause you just finished. ๐Ÿ˜‰ P is simple; and quite frankly proper. The expulsion of deception solves for communicative misunderstanding (as saying “I understand you” when I don’t is a lie; deception). And if we don’t misunderstand each other than meaning can be relayed without delay. Only liars stand in the way; and if they don’t like being called liars… well, they ought to stop.

  • Your Principle Job as A Parent

    Jan 31, 2020, 8:02 AM

—“I hate to say this but you make a big difference to your children with your genes, and very little difference to your children with your parenting”— Charles Murray

I say this slightly differently. Your genes determine everything about your children. Your principle job as a parent is not to improve your children (you can’t), but notto screw them up. And you can reduce friction in life for them by training them in good habits (grooming, manners, ethics, morals) and to do as little harm to them as possible. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Just don’t screw them up.

(Educational progress tells us nothing other than rate of maturity and conscientiousness).

  • The University System Is Organized for Unsustainable Growth

    Feb 2, 2020, 9:02 AM

    —“unpromising future for economics phd’s”—

This is correct of course. It’s one of Eric Weinstein’s complaints: the university system is organized for unsustainable growth, false-promising careers to researchers that can’t exist, in order to obtain cheap research labor (and cheap immigrant research labor) rather than paying researchers and doing less and better research. This problem is exacerbated by the withdrawal of the military as the primary originator of basic research funds given that military epistemology is competitive, and our failure or inability to direct research funds without military priorities, to competitive advantage. I expect this will be corrected rather shortly (and painfully) one way or the other.

  • Reduce Resistance. We Don’t Need Numbers

    Feb 3, 2020, 9:11 AM

—“Talking to the Left is a waste of time. Talking to grassroots civnats/normiecons often is worth it though.”— John Mark —“I honestly don’t think civnats are much better in most respects.”—Predmetsky Rosenborg ๐Ÿ˜‰

CD: Our goal is not to make the majority agree, it is to get enough of us of like mind to act if we need to, that the civnats and normiecons know what we’re trying to accomplish. Awareness reduces resistance. Large armies are hard to move and feed. Light, fast, infantry.
