MOSCOW’S INDIRECT EDUCATION OF EUROPEANS
Moscow’s conquest of south-eastern ukraine broke not only the postwar consensus on borders, but the peace of Westphalia that made states accountable for the factions inside their borders. To some degree this may help Europeans, and westerners, understand that their definition of war includes the assumption that wars are conducted by states against states rather than by factions within states against states or factions within other states – and that like the high trust society they live in, and the rule of law they live under, or the democracy that they practice, is just another European idiosyncrasy – an artifact of history that like trust, law, democracy, can readily convert to human norms of low trust, corruption, and totalitariansm.

Well, that was the end of the Jewish century.
Each enlightenment promise failed.
We had it right in the first place: government as a marketplace for the construction of commons by exchanges between the classes.
The military, the judiciary, the King.
The houses of the classes.
The church, academy and school.
The the insurer, the treasury, the banks, and the industry.
The nation the family the crafts.
It is hard to admit you and your ancestors were wrong about so much.

And I really like zerohedge’ lead in: Infamous for his prediction of the great recession, Europe’s demise, and the collapse of the US financial system (as well as profiting extremely handsomely from said predictions), so well captured in Michael Lewis’ book “The Big Short”, UCLA’s Dr. Michael Burry undertakes UCLA’s Economics Department’s commencement speech with much aplomb. In this “age of infinite distraction”, the astounding truthiness of this 15 minute speech is stunning from single-sentence summation of Europe’s convulsions that “when the entitled elect themselves, the party accelerates, and the brutal hangover is inevitable” he reminds us that Californians, and indeed all Americans, should take note. A quarter-of-an-hour well spent from a self-described ‘chicken-little’ who was “just trying to figure it all out”.

Q&A: “Curt, What’s your thinking on the possible Brexit?”
It’s pretty simple. Ever since the ’92-95 tipping point, we’ve had a lot of secessionist movements building and seen nationalism returning, but we needed a test case to break the dike and say ‘its possible’. And while the Swiss were the first leak, the Brits have done it, and now I think we can consider devolution of massive federalism, globalism, and anti-Europeanism, a possible reality.

ANOTHER EXECUTIVE ORDER
I suppose Obama does not understand that (a) he just signed his own death warrant, (b) he set the stage for the full reversal of all his actions while in office and eliminated the executive order forever, and (c) he just gave us what we wanted: a justification for civil war by the last most desperate act of circumventing the congress and issuing law by decree.
Trump doesn’t matter. He’s a distraction. The revolution comes. And it will be bloody.
