  • How Valid Is The Claim That We’re On The Verge Of Economic Collapse Due To The Vanishing Supply Of Cheap Conventional Oil And The Declining Energy Return On Investment (eroi)?

There is no validity to the crisis. There is a great deal of validity to the EROI.

    The problem is population.

There are too many at the bottom.

  • Do You Think That Brazil Can Be In The Same Position That The U.s. Occupies Now? What Is The Future Of Brazil?

Demographically and economically that looks impossible. It is much more likely that the USA will decline to the same condition as we find in Brazil. Why? Demographics.

It doesn’t matter how good your ‘best’ classes are, because your worst classes are far more destructive than your best classes can compensate for. (Really).

The size of the underclass in central and southern america is simply too large for the upper middle and upper classes to compensate for. And by pursuing socialism in the catholic countries, they missed the opportunity to build more advanced economies before the rest of the world neutralized all competitive advantage of having european traditions.

So I see the USA turning into brazil, and brazil turning into India.

Ad the Japanese and Koreans are the only ones working to prevent the same from happening to them.

  • How Can Americans (finally) Bridge The Political €˜culture War’ Between Conservatives And Liberal Leaning Ideals?

It’s not possible becasue the two goals are incompatible. The answer is to reverse the mistake of the civil war, and separate the ‘coasts’ from the ‘core’.

  • Is China Stronger Than America?

China is a very poor country. But it has more population than the Western world, more population than the African world, about the same or more than the Indian world, less population than the Muslim world, and perhaps most importantly, greater racial and cultural homogeneity than any other people other than the japanese – and that’s coupled with a ‘self righteous’ military, a history and culture of monolithic bureaucracy; no history whatsoever of what we call ‘rule of law’ or individual rights (sovereignty), or peerage; And a severe ‘chip on its shoulder’ for having been backward, and the loser of modern wars, and the poor choice of communism, which is contrary to the Chinese cultural ‘mythos’ that china is the ‘Center of the World’.

So while it is easy for china to ‘catch up from behind’ using authoritarianism, it is very hard to produce a constantly competitive, and constantly evolving economy given ‘chinese characteristics’. (WHich I won’t go into)

Can china use her central bureaucracy to concentrate capital in industry and military to achieve by threat, bribery, and obstruction, that which the west achieved by technical innovation, economic expansion, and ‘dragging the world out of ignorance, superstition, tyranny, poverty, and disease?’

    Of course she can.

And there are more nations in this world that do not want meritocracy than do so. And china, russia, and islam, seem poised to conflict with the west, india, and christian africa.

I think the period of the west’s ideals has ended and the future belongs to non-market nations.

Democracy, Liberty, Innovation, Individualism, are western if not scandinavian (english) preoccupations.

The north sea people are, quite honestly, sons of cattle raiders, pirates, vikings, and warriors. It’s a materialistic heritage.

Most people had no such luxury.

  • What Is The Biggest Mistake Ever Made By The American People?

Participation in the World Wars. German was in the right both times. If we did anything at all, it should have been to fight alongside the germans to defeat the Russians, and to defeat the Chinese. Pretty much, the USA is always wrong. Always has been. Puritanism, social democracy, and Communism share the same origins.

  • Can The Usa Become A Third World Country?

GOOD QUESTION, AND THE ANSWER IS “EASILY”.

Quite easily. Statistically it is very close to a certainty. Why? Becuase (uncomfortable truth) the difference between first world and third world countries is the size of the underclass. First world countries, during the medieval period, were successful in reducing the underclasses through aggressive use of law, war, malthusian crop yields, and disease.

Today’s third world countries cannot produce goods and services of sufficient value to compete on the world’s markets. Ergo there is no means of organizing a voluntary organization of production (consumer capitalist economy).

In painful terms, the reality is that as a nation’ s IQ drops below 100, the ability to compete on the world stage is increasinlly difficult, and as far as I am able to determine, that number will only increase over time.

If you add to that problem, a regressive religion, or a familial low trust culture, or a tendency for corruption, or the ‘resource curse’, then the problem is impossible to overcome.

As far as I know, south africa and brazil are the most likely futures available to the western world.

Americans have imported vast numbers of third world underclasses who are breeding at rates far above those with superior genetic markers. So as far as I can see, there is no way of fixing this problem now.

The only prudent peoples on the planet today are the swiss and the japanese.

  • How Likely Is It That Toronto Will Suffer A Recession Considering House Prices And The Consumer Debt Continues To Rise At A Very Fast Rate And The Wages Do Not Rise?

Ontario is bankrupt and attempting to use immigration to offset the problem temporarily, which only exacerbates the problem long term. It’s not so much that Toronto will suffer a recession but it will (like Detroit, Hartford…) eventually end up with vast ghettos, and an inability to maintain its infrastructure, followed by an inability to justify the governmetn.

This is a common cycle that many states get into when they are large enough to accumulate enough debt that there is no correlation between their actions and the consequences due to the time it takes for consequences to occur.
