I desire to build the best tribe that I can.

That is the top of the pyramid of personal fulfillment.

And the top of the evolutionary period of achievement.

I will cooperate with you as long as it helps me achieve that goal.

And as long as I do not sacrifice that goal.

I agree not to prey upon you.

But if you choose parasitism and to justify parasitism,

    Then I will choose predation.

It is far more enjoyable to conquer, enslave or kill you,

Than to be subject to your parasitism and predation,

And to sacrifice by personal fulfillment and evolutionary achievement.

  • TRIGGER WORD: “RIGHTS” “We have the right to…” Translated: “We do not violate

    TRIGGER WORD: “RIGHTS”

    “We have the right to…”

    Translated:

“We do not violate the principle of cooperation by doing ….”

It’s almost always false. Cooperation isn’t a question of equality, but one of incentives. If you engage in parasitism, I don’t have the incentive to cooperate with you.

The first question of politics is: Why don’t I kill you and take your stuff? So when you say “We have the right to…”, you’re saying this won’t make you prefer to kill me and take my stuff.

And that means that whenever the statement ‘if I have the right to…” occurs, the question is only whether the speaker is engaging in parasitism or not. If he is engaging in parasitism then he doesn’t have a right whatsoever.

So claiming one has a right is a contrary indicator – almost always. You do not possess a right, you possess a prohibition. You are prohibited from parasitism. The other fellow has demanded a right of non-parasitism in order to rationally cooperate with you.

So when you speak honestly, you find that the response is quite different.

All talk of ‘rights’ is a means of deceit.

Riffing off Don’s post on Musk.

How can I construct a business that is profitable enough to pay my employees a twenty percent premium wage in a tribal work environment?

Loyalty must be reciprocal. And it’s the only emotion I really understand anyway.

I get juice out of making good jobs and happy customers. And honestly I care about wealth only in so far as it makes that possible while allowing me my intellectual freedom.

(unfortunately, because of the advisory and pedagogical way that I manage, over time, my partners seem to have the habit of thinking they can do what I do. And they always fail. )

My happiest memories in business are the big holiday parties. That’s the fruit of my labor.

We all operate by different biases.

THE GENETIC BIAS OF NORT SEA EUROPEANS: PATHOLOGICAL ALTRUISM

Pathological Altruism as a means of suppressing free riding.

I am pretty sure that I’ve nailed the theory of western exceptionalism. It’s probably partly genetic. But that’s not material. What’s material is that it can be codified in law, regardless of genetics.

Truth is a means of suppressing free riding.

  • The Evolution of Suppression of Free Riding

    [E]volution:

    1) Higher Income reduces opportunity costs and risk (liberalism). Lower income increases opportunity cost and risk(conservatism).

    2) Economic velocity is produced by the centralization of rents, which lowers local (productive) transaction costs at the expense of high total cost (taxation).

    3) Once rents are centralized, we seek to obtain or privatize (redistribute) those rents (economic liberalism) through enfranchisement.

    4) In a perfect world we seek to eliminate those rents (anglo classical liberalism).

    5) But the diversity of ability leads to class warfare since meritocracy is valuable only to a minority, and rents, and parasitismare beneficial to the majority..

    6) In a perfect world we pay the less able, parasitic, and rent seeking minority directly for the maintenance of the meritocratic commons, and thereby circumvent the parasitism of the bureaucratic, and political classes. And perhaps more importantly, prevent the misallocation of capital.

    7) To accomplish this perfect world requires we develop institutions that allow us to produce commons, and pay people for producing those commons: meritocracy included.

    Y-Axis: Totalitarian- Democratic – Anarchic
Z-Axis: Wealth (elimination of transaction costs by the suppression of free riding)

Suppression of parasitism comes first. Centralize it to eliminate it locally. Then outlaw it, and eliminate it from the central bureaucracy. Economic velocity is determined by the suppression of free riding in all its forms at all levels in the polity.

  • The Demographics of Gun Ownership

A CORRELATIVE ANSWER, THEN THE CAUSAL ANSWER

The Correlative Answer: Part 1: Social Structure
Northern Europeans above the Hanjal Line (The North Sea Peoples who successfully out-bred) sometimes referred to as the Protestant Peoples) retain an ancient set of traditions requiring all men to obtain legitimacy and honor (equal status) through participation in the militia, and the purpose of the militia is to deny all men power over all other men. This is preserved most strongly in the anglos dutch and less so in the germans, who were anglicized.

The Causal Answer: Part 2 Tradition
There are a small number of underlying heroic traditions that carry the western Aristocratic (meritocratic) Egalitarian (enfranchisement to all who fight) tradition – and that tradition is the cause of the rapid rate of western development compared to all other civilizations, both in the ancient, and modern eras. These are:
    1) Heroism (purchase of enfranchisement and status through sacrifice)
    2) All property is private (all property is earned)
    3) Every man is his own legislator over his domain.
    4) The common law and independent judiciary permit the resolution of differences between equals without appeal to authority.
    5) The rule of law, the common law (organic law, natural law) applies to all men equally.
    6) Hierarchy is necessary for decision making in war, the resolution of conflicts, and for the suppression of free riding.

The value in this structure is that the common law can evolve with the first judicial ruling, and therefore both transaction cost and risk are reduced, and the chance of free riding, parasitism, fraud and predation are eliminated before they can be institutionalized. The market for law suppresses parasitism as fast as innovations in parasitism are created. In turn, innovation in products, services and ideas can progress with the least resistance from predators. Costs: The consequence for the underclasses is that while they benefit from the rapid innovation, they are more aware of the difference between those who are less productive and those who are are more so.

The Causal Answer: Part 3 : Incentives
As population destiny increases, all effects increase by approximately 20% for every doubling of the population.
The incentives for people in rural areas where all men bear a high cost of policing the commons, is more restrictive than the incentives for people in urban areas where few bear the cost of policing the commons.

In general, people in areas of dense population discount the cost of policing commons and norms because opportunity, transaction and policing costs are lower.

The Causal Answer Part 4: Diversity.
Diversity decreases trust, increases political divisiveness and decreases economic velocity. Urban areas can afford immigrating diversity. Rural areas cannot.

    It’s all rational really.

    WHAT IS HAPPENING
The effort to expand ownership has been successful and once people have limited skill with, and ownership of guns, it tends to transfer like all traditions between families.

The greater the effort to suppress gun ownership the greater the passion with which gun owners preserve the tradition.

We have roughly tripled gun sales under this administration. Demographically the argument is over and the pro gun movement has won. (surprisingly)

The supreme court has learned a tragic lesson from Roe v Wade: that the court should not solve social matters until they are first resolved by the states. That decision has nearly destroyed the court. “The Democratic Process Must Do Its Work” is the phrase we hear from the court.

The general consensus is that we have a problem controlling mental illness, and urban poverty, and not a problem with firearms.

So as far as I understand, the matter is settled for at least the next generation.

  • AVOIDING THE PSEUDOSCIENTIFIC: NORMS The term is “Norm”. The basis of all moral

    AVOIDING THE PSEUDOSCIENTIFIC: NORMS

    The term is “Norm”.

The basis of all moral intuition is the evolutionary requirement that cooperation is only beneficial if it is non-parasitic and mutually productive. So we prohibit free riding (parasitism) on the one hand, and mandate payment of insurance (charity) on the other, and within very near kin, we sacrifice.

From this simple and necessary instinct, all moral (cooperative) norms evolve.

Manners (signaling potential), ethics (interpersonal prohibitions), moral (anonymous prohibitions), Myths and Rituals (intergenerational transmission) evolve.

Meanwhile we compete using signals. If we are successful in universalism we develop castes, if we are successful in familialism we develop families. In no case do we develop equality except within caste or family.

We evolved cooperation. So cooperation must be more valuable than predation. It is only more valuable (for the strong) if it is non-parasitic and productive. For the weak, parasitism is a necessary evolutionary strategy. But status signals can be bought cheaply in times of asymmetric prosperity. And we can see the 20th century as an experiment in signals.

    Painful. Rational. Scientific.

  • How Do You Enterprise Capitalism?

This is an illogical question.  How do you “Fast” the color “Green”.  It makes no sense.  Capitalism is the voluntary organization of production through the use of private property, contract, law, money, prices, accounting, and interest.  And the use of  and reward for use of resources is allocated to those who most satisfy the demand for those resources by the information provided by prices.

An enterprise is voluntary organization of capital (time, people, money, assets) among individuals in order to construct an hypothesis that might produce a profit on the use of that capital – if their hypothesis is correct.

    An enterprise requires capital.

Aside from that the question is nonsensical.
