The law allowed us to rise out of the slime. To civilize ourselves and everybody else. (Paraphrasing Bil): Hippie healing experience is a not-very-useful diversion from law. Every hippie healing modality can be better handled with better application of natural law. It was some failure to apply the law (in past or present) that created the disorder and suffering in the first place. So one can go straight to the breakdown in the natural law and thereby get to the root of the problem. Identify the misunderstanding of natural law, and the root of the problem is revealed. To the extent one resists full accounting under natural law, one is fleeing from one’s problems, and the suffering continues. A week of hippie healing gives temporary respite from symptoms, but without full accounting and truth-telling, the core of the disorder remains. Half our suffering today results from suppression of natural law by those who benefit from its non-application (which leads to societal breakdown, which is always good for somebody). Anyway, this is the core of the Proprietarian analysis and I find it very persuasive. (But I am still not convinced Freud was completely wrong either.) They engage in war and conquest, acquire multi-ethnic empires, become cosmopolitans, and then it all falls apart: e.g., Ottoman empire, Russian empire, Austro-Hungarian empire, etc. Replying to @Lord_Keynes2 I notice you aren’t mentioning the german manorial states, the scandinavian, the french polish or italian…. Replying to @Lord_Keynes2 Empires capture trade routes. Monarchies captured productive land. Both centralize rents in exchange for increasing local economic velocity. Study of european castle distribution illustrates rather easily the exceptional relationship between martial+judicial and std of living. Replying to @Lord_Keynes2 Ergo the issue is not empire nor monarchy, but ETHNICITY. ie: ethnocentrism is the optimum group evolutionary strategy, and trading ethnocentricity for rents at the cost of multicultural conflict is a short term win at long term cost.

(FB 1542215617 Timestamp) PETERSON IS AN INDIVIDUALIST NOT SOVEREIGNTARIAN (a) Individual Sovereignty = Individualism in LAW (in fact) not in ‘sentiment’ or ‘moralism’. Because only individuals can act. (b) The purpose of policy is the service of the INTERGENERATIONAL FAMILY, and NOT the individual. This is the hole in Classical Liberalism, Liberalism and LIbertarianism, for the simple reason that “one man one vote’ meant ‘one family with property one vote’ or ‘one business man one vote’ or ‘one familial corporation one vote’, and not ‘ one individual without demonstrated ability to produce one vote’. The priority of western civilization was and if it is to survive, must consist, in the combination of individual normative heroism, individual legal sovereignty, and the policy that gives all possible advantages to each individual intergenerational family, in its production of individual sovereigns. The word “individualism” masks this difference.
