    WE LOST FROM

–“I wonder what they called P before all the great libraries were destroyed.”—Andrew Gribble

—“I’m pretty confident that Aristotle got as close to it as Archimedes got to calculus.”—Luan Raphael

    Archimedes: 287 BC.

    Epicurus 341 BC

    Alexander 356 BC

    Aristotle 384 BC

When Alexander Crosses the Hellespont 334 BC, he conquered the persian empire at the expense of infecting europe with oriental despotism.

We should not look at alexander as a hero, but as a fool who brings greece to an end, as napoleon that brought europe to an end.

    It took us until:

    newton-liebniz to rediscover calculus

descartes to restore us to geometry (reality)

    Davinci to restore roman engineering

It takes until the royal society before we institutionalize it again and reach greek and roman levels of schools. (1660)

We don’t restore ‘physical’ thought until the industrial revolution ~1700-1830, physical thought

We don’t restore administration and military order until Napoleonic France.

It takes until Darwin before we reach aristotelian ‘cleanliness’ of thought.

The main innovations are technological, and the main innovation in logic returning to Archimedes with Babbage by accident and Turing by design.

We are, I am, still trying to restore aristotle, our original frame of european thought.

I mean, realistically, the worst thing that ever happened is letting the barbarians across the hellespont. but there is no natural barrier in anatolia like there are in the caucuses to build a wall upon. so Anatolia must be lost.

WHY ORTHODOXY IS SUPERIOR TO CATHOLICISM

NET: Orthodoxy Remained A Faith, limited to the ambitions of faith. Catholicism Tried to reconcile science and reason, in order to govern europe.

    *Orthodoxy makes no false promise.*

    Catholic: 293M Total: 205M Europe, 75M USA, 13M Canada

(The rest, almost all, are in non-european countries: ~.9B. IOW, the catholic church is a third world organization with third world interests, having abandoned europeans.)

    Orthodox: 250M Total

Protestant 307M Total: 117M Europe 190M North America

The Rest are in the developing world.

    850M Total Europeans

    DIFFERENCES

    1. Catholics believe that human reason can prove the existence of God, while the Orthodox believe that God’s knowledge is planted in human nature.

    2. Catholicism employs human reason in explaining the concept of faith. -vs- Orthodoxy doesn’t reconcile human reason with faith.

    3. The Catholic doctrine evolves with change in time, and needs to fit in with prevailing circumstances. -vs- Orthodoxy does not change it’s doctrine to fit with situational needs.

    4. Protestants Believe in all prophets of the Books from the Holy Bible -vs- Orthodox ????? -vs- Protestants Believe in all prophets of the Books from the Holy Bible, and that Muhammad is a false prophet.

    5. Other Religions: Christianity is the true religion. Judaism is a true religion, but they do not believe Jesus is the Messiah. Islam is a false religion, pagan religions are also false. -vs- Orthodox ?????????? -vs- Protestants: Judaism is a true religion, but they do not believe Jesus is the Messiah. Islam is a false religion. Pagan religions are also false.

    6. ALL: “Yeah, you gotta believe” (oops…)

    GOVERNANCE

    1. Catholic Church – The Church regards the Pope, seated on the Apostolic Throne of St. Peter, as the head of the church, -vs- The Orthodox Church believes that the head of the universal Church is Jesus Christ.

    2. The Catholic Churches are subservient to the Pope who is the one supreme authority. – vs – The various Orthodox churches are autocephalous, which means, they are independent of each other and their head bishops don’t report to any higher bishop.

    3. The other bishops are subordinates to the Pope, who is also called the Supreme Pontiff. – vs- the Patriarch of each church presides over its Synod. The Patriarch is the administrative head but is at par with the rest of the bishops in spiritual terms

    RELEVANT PRACTICES

    1. In matrimony, for Catholics, divorce is not permitted under any circumstances, while for Orthodox, it may be permitted when adultery is committed. -vs-protestant where divorce is permitted for adultery or abandonment.
