–“All Africa uses less electricity than Alabama”–
1) Alabama is the fifth poorest state in the US.
2) Electric consumption is a very strong correlate of per capita GDP.
3) All increases in the human condition consist of increases in per capita energy capture, conversion and consumption.
4) We cannot end increases in per capita energy transformation and consumption, but we can decrease the underclass populations.
5) The counter revolution against eugenics has the greatest chance of producing a great filter for humanity.
(And don’t blame the messenger.)

That’s not true. That’s a late effect of majoritarian democracy. Otherwise it’s a practice that has been used for millennia by every civilization.

—“Claim: Zoroaster and hence Zoroastrianism was the ultimate impetus behind both Greek Philosophy and Christianity.”–
That’s not true, but it certainly had influence by the first century AD on Christianity as Persians sought dominance over their empire and as other religions sought monotheism as an opposition to indo european dominance of old river valleey civlizations.
Greek philosophy evolved from greek law. Only late was it influnced by other religions as the world sought a solution to ethics as trade expanded, travel expanded, and contact increased, and empirs sought solutions to rule, and people sought solace in religion as their alienation increased – just as it has today.

Protestantism is the result of Bipartite Manorialism and the resulting eugenics within the Hajnal line, beginning in the 700s in Holland, the restoration of classical knowldge, the restoration of northern sea trade, and the redvelopment of civic life in northern europe.

Which happened first? The Return of Classical knowldg to Europe muslims scholars fleeing fundamentalism (900s), the restoration of trade and classical civilization (1200), the printing press (1440), or the protestant reformation (~1500)?
Don’t waste my time. 😉

was it protestantism or the restoration of classical civilization in combination with the restoration of trade in northern europe beginning with the hansa. It was the latter. Weber was wrong.
