I’ve sort of ‘pleged’ to work on it. But it would require a narrative to explain why the church was successful, the benefit it added to civilization, the long challenge of our pursuit of the knowledge of god’s vision for us, and the heroism of having done so.

The Greco-Semitic church had to reconcile with Greco-Roman reason, and produced Augustine. With the Aristotelian Restoration it produced Acquinas and the Scholastics, the Dominicans and yes the Templars. But after 1830 the church failed to produce another reformer.
