The correct answer is that diversity is a bad.
We can be genetically diverse if we are culturally homogenous (full integration)
We can be culturally divers ANd genetically diverse if we can create our own polities.
But the postwar pseudoscientific attack on sex, class, cultural, and race differences was another utopian fallacy.
There are vast differences between the sexes, classes, cultures, and races that MUST be expressed as differences in demand for different behavior.
Whiteness (truth before face, commons before self, maximization of personal rsponsibility, testifiable truth ( science), rule of law, democracy ) is an extremely costly behavior – the most costly culture on earth – that is only possible for a high trust homogenous polity. We are failing at integrating people ‘outside the range’ who are unable to integrate into that culture. So we are turning the west in the ‘The same sh—holes that people came from’. And no this isn’t an opinion. It’s a measureable change in every aspect of personal, public, economic, and political life.

Why didn’t india, central asia, the middle east or sub-saharan africa create high trust modern societies? Why did only japan and western europe do so? These are the two least ethnically diverse groups in the world, either explicitly or virtually on peninsulas, coasts, and islands, and with navies – and navies provide high return on capital, drive trade, and innovation, but require TRUST.

A SCIENCE OF HISTORY AT GRAND SCALE
-“A comprehensive look at the factors behind the rise and fall of civilizations, by the application of scientific method to the social sciences. He establishes his historical hypotheses. He poses a division of culture into six levels from the abstract to the more concrete. He then tests those hypotheses by a detailed analysis of five major civilizations: the Mesopotamian, the Canaanite, the Minoan, the classical, and the Western.”-

I don’t really understand that perspective.
These people supply a set of narratives that are their own interpretations given their understanding of history, systems, and behavior. And we benefit from survey of those competing narratives.
The crossover you’re detecting via the algorithm is the same one I find with the loser-right. It’s that any fear mongering drives attention, and the algorithm drives for that sentiment.

Though to be honest, we ‘d seen the weekly bombings in the 60’s and early 70s. We’d seen vietnam, watergate, the oil crisis, and the collapse of american economic promise. It wasn’t a very positive time. The difference then, was that we still loved each other. At present, it…

Now, Martin is correct. And he is,despite his humility a pretty deep scholar in these subjects, precisely because he takes an author on his own terms in the context of the history of the development of thought.

I am not very empathic so I can’t really figure out what the cause of the dispute is here, other than martin is using the author’s intention and I THINK Alain is using some other criteria.

This question is interesting, becuase it comes to the heart of why legal interpretation is difficult: you must know the mind of teh author at the time. In other words, words are weights and measures using the weights and measurs of the time and place.
