So why can’t we teach that history consists of man’s use of rational incentives, and that the english are the first people to systematically spread the prohibiton on slavery to the world. And sent out their navy to enforce it, and the africans did everything possible to continue it.
Or that slavery was endemic in human history. And that europeans have been enslaved by africans and middle easterners at every opportunity. Or that a certain ethnic group specialized in it.
Or that the british invented the modern rule of law state that we all benefit from.
Or that the postwar americans took advantage of the english creation of world trade networks, and americans almost single handedly dragged mankind out of poverty by doing so in just a century.
Or that every other civilization failed by exhausting the potential of agrarianism by 800ad.
Or that every other civilization failed to develop logic, reason, empiricism, and science; or confession, military reporting, testimony, and truth before face, especially in the commons.
Or that of all the innovations in human history 98% of them were made by europeans.
Or that europeans, despite being a small population on the edge of the bronze age evolved faster than the rest of the entire world combined in the bronze, iron, and steel ages.
Or that europeans are the only people to maximize individual responsiblity as a means of suppressing demand for authority that the rest of the world begs for but rails against.
Or the thousand other things that made western civ so exceptional that those who undermine it are merely virtue signaling their dysfunction by their criticism of it.

My ancestors were puritains and they and their ancestors are recorded in history back to the eleventh century. And none have owned slaves. Why? Slavery benefits farmers and manors rather than soldiers, craftsmen, lawyers, and preachers.

Partly because in the soviet and present russian system you have little control of anything outside of your ‘fence’ and dont’ expect to, and secondly because there is a certain fatalism to russians and their extraordinary tolerance for suffering.

    https://t.co/QJJj4YgIg3

    Tidbits to add:
    a) class is a rough approximation of “capacity for radius of responsibility:
    b) ‘hot’ economies raise people in every class beyond their capacity for responsibility faster than they can learn to adapt to those responsibilities. (Most hot economies are windfalls not sustainable increases as with the scientific and industrial revolutions)
    c) the exhaustion of the opportunities of the hot economy made possible by such differences in consumption lead to said inequality and conflict higher than previous inequality and conflict.
    c) This creates a conflation in the perception of the population of their false presumption of their own competency, agency, and resources, when their condition is just momentum created by a windfall in production or from conquest.
    d) Causing leadership to externalize blame and responsibility driving nationalism as the means of coherence, and militaristic expansions externally or civil wars internally if such nationalism and externalization fail.
    e) The west is in demographic and cognitive decline. Our cognitive decline is exacerbatted by pervasive ideological lying in the behavioral pseudosciences. Though mathiness (mathematical pseudoscience) in physics is preventing progress in that field as well. We are still maintaining the most capital directed to investment in SOME innovation, creating a motivational lottery effect, but false promise of sustainable redistribution (our false windfall) is diverting state capital investment away from commons and infrastructure to support questionable consumption.

  • That’s a relativistic statement. Which societies are more complex? 70IQ or 110IQ

That’s a relativistic statement. Which societies are more complex? 70IQ or 110IQ. The answer is rather painfully obvious across the planet because IQ is the single measure that explains every single society worldwide.
If you mean, they place greater value on direct-perception in small family and clan groups vs indirect analysis in complex societies, that would be true. It would also mean they’re no more complicated that children.
