Just want to point out that history is only an analogy, not a logic. The knowledge and incentives we have at each point varies. It is the understanding of how we react to knowledge and incentives, and how our incentives may differ that lets us learn from history – not analogy.

I would say that teaching people such shortcuts is fine as long as they know the first CAUSAL principles. But I would respond with “It’s just another application of pilpul” that makes each generation of physicist ‘dumber’ than the last.

Any theory requires two portions: a cusal narrative that describes the search criteria and a measurement that describes observables within the search criteria.
QM is not a theory, it is a measurement. GR is a wrong theory – at least at scale.
The problem is verbal idealism.

Well, the most obvious answers to dark matter (dark gravity) is torque on the quantum background; and dark energy(pressure), the energy and pressure of the quantum background. The problem is testing those two obvious answers given our present inability to measure either value.

So the law as I use the term ‘natural law’ or ‘laws of nature’ is simply an empirical statement of cuase and consequence. We then use this logic to determine the handful of means of cooperation such that we construct some self determination in some safety and prosperity.
