JACK MA: CEO’S WILL BE ROBOTS

There are only so many ‘goods’ and ‘services’ desired.

There are only so many competitive patterns.

There are only so many strategic patterns.

There are only so many organizational patterns.

Most of what we do in business is iteratively apply innovations to bigger and more profitable, or smaller and less profitable niches, using different capital, organizational, production, distribution, and sales models.

The art (at least today) is in knowing them (any student of austiran econ will learn them quickly), and then organizing a body of people to apply that model using whatever incentives are available.

In that sense, I can see AI’s being necessary to a CEO, but I have a very hard time seeing ceo’s replaced by AI”s, unless we militarize society.

    Just like software.

—“AS AN INTP HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT CODING? SHOULD I DO IT?”—

    a) I am not a good ‘coder’ at all. I will absolutely figure the problem out. I will write readable code. But I am slow. I find it tedious. And the tedium makes me tired. Although if I know what I am doing, I can find it relaxing in the same way some women feel when knitting. I can code and watch TV in some languages, but I cannot in others.

    b) I am a very good system architect. I have dont most of my work at that level.

    c) I am a better UI designer. And I prefer this level of work.

    d) I am a great analyst. The problem with analysis work is the idiots you have to interview. 😉

Or rather I can do all of these things, but I prefer doing the work of an analyst or designer over the work of coding. I just don’t have the short term memory for coding at speed (Or at least, I don’t have it any longer). I think I ‘contemplate’ much more than other folks.

There are a lot of job opportunities at all levels and as long as you are willing to put a couple of years in at coding you’ll find its easy to rise thru the ranks.

Apr 10, 2017 8:48am THE SCI-FI TAKE ON PROPERTARIANISM: A REFORMATION OF SCI-FI? —“If we were able to produce neural networks that were built using the frame and parameters of propertarianism (natural law) to filter information, merged with humans, this, in all of it’s glorified science fiction, could produce meta-agency. Basically having a self-learning program implanted into humans that help filter information in order to produce agency. Sounds pretty cool! This kind of agent based programming is something another follower of yours showed interest in.”— A Friend Nit – neural networks are exceptional at turning stimuli into symbols. I am not sure that they are a very good solution to any problems once we possess symbols. Nature build on what she had, but once you have symbols the neural network model becomes an inhibitor not useful search function. I suppose I should explain that at some point, but it’s just what it is. Neural networks are very stable at preserving ‘general relations’ amidst fragmentary damage but they are subject to deformation (dilution), and become very expensive when you are trying to store reconstructable and traceable data. symbolic data and search algorithms defeat neural networks because the information density of symbols sort of like the information density of a book vs a memory of reading or writing a book, is much higher and more stable. But the ideas that you could: 1) create a propertarian ‘conscience’ for any AI. 2) create a propertarian ‘conscience and advisor’ with which to augment a human being. Are pretty fascinating concepts to work with in science fiction. In fact, I think this is what a ‘Runcible’ ( individual education computer) should do for you. REVISIONIST SCIENCE FICTION Now, instead of what has been written in the past, given that it is possible to create a machine MORE MORAL than man, how would that change science fiction?

Despite a bad month in general of slow progress, made great leaps on Oversing today. But this new technology stack from Facebook is a little too much ‘close your eyes curt and feel the force’ and not enough ‘oh, this makes sense, i get it’. Someone needed to work on 3dGame engines before they designed all this silly chaos back behind the scenes. But that said, its so fast it’s scary.

    OVERSING UPDATE

I’ve been killing myself at how long it is taking me to rewrite the UI in React. I’m not really sure why it is. I suspect it’s a lot of personal variables (stress, health, winter, age, learning curve). But now that I have a good chunk of the main workspace done, I’m so thrilled, because honestly – its so fast it’s absurd. Seriously. It’s absolutely insane. And that’s with all the debug code and console logging.

We’ll see what happens when I wire up more of the back end and get into sync issues. But it just seems pretty awesome at the moment.
