  • Artistic Agency

by Michael Churchill Homogeneity may be a red herring. The larger issue behind the boredom is the loss of “artistic agency.” It’s so easy to get passively entertained that we have lost the ability to make art on a man-by-man basis — real music, neighborhood plays, etc. In Kentucky where the spirit of actual neighborhood music gatherings is still alive … wow … when you stumble across it it is very powerful to see. Anyway, this is an excellence that can be cultivated personally. That was something I got from Evola btw — if the culture around us feels like it sucks … like it’s aimed at a lower level of sophistication — then what are WE PERSONALLY doing to elevate it?

—“The natural order can’t be prostitution, since for the vast majority of human history two parents were needed to effectively raise a baby. So there had to be male-female bonding. And to prevent male/male violence there had to be equal distribution of women. … The natural order in hunter-gatherer times was monogamy. Then it shifted to polygamy, then back to monogamy. Now we have both. (All as laid out in Tucker’s “Marriage and Civilization.”) — Michael Churchill

—“Ecological monogamy is a Paleolithic innovation related to K-selection following the separation from chimpanzees.

Polygamy and prostitution are Neolithic ecological phenomena related to r-selection and increased scale. Notice how institutional polygamy (as well as tribalism) is strongest, historically and today, in the ancient epicenters of Neolithization.

Institutional monogamy (as opposed to ecological = can only bear the cost of one wife) is a metal age innovation related to the K-selection of reciprocity among superpredators stemming from developments in technology and maneuverability. Notice how institutional monogamy is only present in European (Aryan) cultures, and has been since classical times, and possibly since 3-4000 BC.”—Simon Ström

@curtdoolittle Again the farmers of men got greedy. They didn’t want to cull the most violent males or let them remove each other. Now they use pornography to try and turn most men into wethers.

    Curt Doolittle updated his status.

My grandmother, mother, me, my sister, daughter, and niece are so cognitively similar, despite being cognitively rare, that we might as well be clones. One of the problems of living outside of the same ‘village’ or ‘neighborhood’ is that we don’t realize it, and have to struggle through discovery and understanding of our rare cognitive processes alone. And while it’s probably true that we are extreme examples, the fact that we no longer have large families in each generation, or large cohabiting families across generations, leads to alienation for far too many of us – even those that are not outliers. I see a lot of lost people primarily because they are unsocialized and infantilized, and lack intergenerational families that have mastered the talents within their genes.

    Curt Doolittle updated his status.

My view, is that I value my children as the best thing I did in life, but I consider myself a terrible (absent) parent. (Not that they haven’t turned out effectively perfect in my view.) And I have come to believe that it is best for that class of us that is truly ‘different’, is to either delay marriage until we have achieved our objectives, or avoid marriage and children and instead care for (support) our siblings and their children. And at present, if I could find a woman to have more children with, I would. I love them. But that is because my mind is in a state where I prefer them above all other things.

  • Many Women Want to Play House

by James Lyons Sr. Many women want to play house. But when it comes down to it, they are neither ready nor equipped to make a home, and even less so to be a mother. It took a lot of experience with slutty behavior for me to learn this. Likewise, many men are not ready to make a home and even less so to be a father. For both men and women, it is nothing other than an excuse to take advantage of the discounts from living in one residence on two incomes and lowering the cost of seeking mates, sex and entertainment. Neither Men nor Women are trying to create intergenerational insurance: families because we have removed the incentives to do so. Children are, if anything, pets.
