I had to work at “switching” between thinking modes. Now its just there. I can’t always put it into words right way – but the default seems to be e-prime-‘ish and non-e-prime just a matter of convenience; or knowing if I go there it will demand way to much of the person I’m talking too.”–Bill Joslin

That stoicism[1] can provide mindfulness to those who lack that order is a solution to a problem. However, there is no substitute for a initiation in group of warriors (pack), and ritual thanks to a king, one another, ancestors, and nature. Everything else is education(training), therapy(repair), medication(suppression) [1] Stoicism = CBT = Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

This is not uncommon between competitors. It actually makes the competition enjoyable – unless you’re the victim of that competitor because you can’t play the game at that level.

Minds need to be busy. they will find something to be busy with. And unfortunately, what they are capable of being busy with varies a great deal from the bottom to the top of the spectrum – and there is significant room for bad choices everywhere along that spectrum.
