    It’s meaningless.
    All life must acquire.
Life can acquire without movement, or with movement.
Movement increases probability though at the cost of movement.
Memory allows for prediction, though at the cost of memory and movement.
Involuntary cooperation allows for multipliers not possible by individual organisms at the cost of selecting predictions for the outcome of cooperation.
Voluntary cooperation allows for multiples not possible by individual organisms and involuntary organisms, but allows for the costs of defection, cheating, harming.
The division of temporal labor between the sexes: female short term hyperconsumption and risk evasion causing evasion of responsibility for commons, vs male long term hyper capitalization at the cost of risk mitigation, causing status by competition for responsibility for commons.
The amount of memory (neural volume) increases the number of parallel predictions (the field of predictions) an individual human can choose from, over longer periods of time, over greater populations, and over greater complexity.
The variation in neural volume, neural fitness (adaptation in time) determines the division of labor between individuals in addition to the division of labor between sexes creating the division of labor between classes.
The variation in systemic knowledge, general knowledge and experience, and specific skills further determines the division of labor between individuals, classes, and sexes.
The organization of metaphysical presumptions, group strategy, sex strategy, class strategy, individual strategy combines with the organization of individuals into families, clans, tribes, nations, civilizations, and races.
The organization of knowledge production, invention, prediction, production distribution, trade and consumption by the markets for association, cooperation, reproduction, production, commons, polities, institutions and war, organizes people with and a cross clans tribes and sometimes nations.
This organization is habituated by metaphysical presumptions, group strategy, mythology, institutions, traditions, norms, habits, and fashions- and humans are highly resistant to modification of the accumulation of above networks of understanding and relationships – in no small part because only about ten percent of humans do and can think – the rest merely react and then way-find a justification to their reaction given the above stack of indoctrination, habits, knowledge and incentives.

    THEREFORE
    Acquisition is meaningful
    Cooperation is meaningful
    Reciprocity of cooperation is meaningful.
Division of labor by many dimensions is meaningful
Cooperation in overlapping networks at increasing scales is meaningful.
Because we are all more affected by the behavior of those we share a polity with than we are our own words and deeds (actions).
As such it is the production of commons that is more meaningful than the production of individuals.
As such the purpose of law is to prohibit interference in the potential of cooperation in divisions of labor at increasing scales.
And the purpose of policy is the production of commons that remove frictions to cooperation, including the reduction of free riding, irreciprocity, privatization of commons, socialization of losses, rent seeking, corruption, lawfare, and authoritarianism – granting priority to the capital produced by the inter generational family before that of the individual, who, until producing offspring is a dead weight on accumulated spectrum of physical, behavioral, and genetic capital.

Now if you’re competent to make a judgement sufficient to hold an opinion, just in that sequence what did mises get wrong before we even begin to attack his epistemology – which upon his later years, he quietly recognized was false.

Why is it that women end up issuing orders to men either explicitly, suggestively or seditiously. And why do men put up with it?

Men put up with it because they know there is no way to make women happy other than reading their minds and being a windsock to their impulses.

If you love a woman as you love your child you tolerate their behavior as you tolerate your child’s behavior and just as a mother tries to keep children within limits of self, mother, family harm, men do the same for women.

Providing this security for her just as she does for her children, whether she acknowledges it or not, or like children, resists it or not, is what provides her mindfulness in the same way she provides mindfulness to children. And it is this mindfulness that produces cooperation without conflict.

sure. that example in particular makes use of traingulation.
In most cases this is how humans sort preferences. This tendency relates to how many networks are required for choice, how many things can we visualize at once discretely, and how many numbers can we recall.

Interesting. I should reframe it as an operting system that serves humans rather than the other way around. 😉

You know all that stuff big companies collect about you so that others can take advantage of you? What if we reverse it so that the software you use every day, completely as a byproduct, tells you about you, how you compare to your peers etc. And can filter out content you don’t want to see? How would you like that control?

    The Problem of Raising Girls
Spent the past couple of hours in a meeting with a friend and female thought leader, where she tried successfully to draw my attention to the incentives and behavior of girls and young women.
And it was pretty depressing. I mean, depressing enough that both of us lost more than a little optimism for the future.
Now, it’s one thing to say ‘here are the institutions, laws, policies, and incentives, we need. And it’s quite another to say ‘how to you modify the behavior of girls so that they practice civic duty rather than engage in infinite personaly hyperconsumption?’
I mean, we are very poorly organized for dating, marriage, having replacement level reproduction, and doing so at a young enough age that it produces health children from healthy eggs and sperm, and makes possible all the economy and intergenereational redistibution we have today.

Games? Interesting. Let me think a bit….
Playing games in my era was probably quite a bit different from the past twenty years where ‘everybody’s doing it’. And overdoing it.
I think about games as a hobby that helped me think about AI, which helped me think about systems.
What I expect you and others don’t understand is (a) it was a smaller pouplation that could and did play games (b) I could work easily 14-16 hours a day endlessly. (c) and I was using gaming to ‘cool down’ from work. (d) and gaming was how I thought about AI development.
I built a lot of electronics including two primitive computers when I was young.
I played DnD in college when it first came out, and had up to 30 players for over two years. I think it’s how I learned to manage people.
I designed an adventure game in college in PL/I that ran on IBM360s that they tried to ban because it was using up so much student lab time. It was interesting because I had to build a random number generator because it didn’t have one.
When just out of college, I designed and wrote games in the early 80s for Tandy’ Color Computer. Including custom graphics and fonts. In Assembly language. (Which I still love)
After my first serious illness, I did AI research work starting with simulations and that’s when I understood the hardware problem wasn’t solvable with code.
After I sold a company, I tried to get id Software to license us Quake2 for an add on pack but failed.
I played Counter Strike competitively – but a long time ago. You can even still find two of the levels I made for it online:
    de-ignorance
    https://t.co/dDpS8LHVnq (major extension)
    cs-knifeedge
    https://t.co/gMHDj48hD8 (afghanistan)

I would come home from work and use games to ‘switch off’ the autism (change context).
Gaming was fun from the 80s, and especially when the quake era led to so much innovation, then through to about Skyrim in 2010, and I don’t think much of it after that.
I gave up games entirely when I gave up running big companies. Because I didn’t need to shut down the autism any longer, and it was a vast sinkhole for time. Some people drink, some smoke, I played a game for an hour or two. After it came out, mostly CS and little else.
It’s also not obvious to most men what the dopamine depletion does to you. That wasn’t a problem with text and moves-per-round games. But with the advent of real time and hot-response gaming it basically functions as an addiction.

I approach everything I do in life as a science experiment. And I wasn’t really conscious of how much so until the past few years. So games, software, companies, economies, legal systems, polities, and langauges, logics, epistemology? They’re all the same thing to me: a simulation. A game.

Now, real life humans in politics are the game I play. 😉
    That’s the ‘great game’. 😉

The correct interpretation of the hemispheric bias is predator focus vs prey awareness. This divides two challenging tasks that are in conflict over how to process information. Mcgilchrist is a fictionalist with theological ambitions. Huberman does him in frequently.

Um. No. I’m not saying that.

I’m saying that our genes and our cultures affect our thinking in predictable ways. And that the interesting thing about our two cultures, given that there are only three possible founding institutions for a civilization: Religion, State, and Law – we are the only two that chose law as our primary or secondary institution. And that this was a bit of luck since law is the optimum primary institution – and all other civs either failed at it, or produced commands instead of law.

The other is that i was one of the first people to ‘draw those circles’ and on Quora it’s still one of the most popular posts I’ve made. And the individual that claimed the ashkeanzi are within the southern European instead of the cross-bar of the “A” between european and semitic-african, is because the Ashkenazi are a hybridization of Jewish males and European females.

In other words, no the ashkenzim are not ‘white’ becuase they are not genetically white, and do not ‘think’ in european (masculine) terms.

However, at the rate of outbreeding at least in the USA it’s not going to matter at all. The same is true for Asians. The rate of their outbreeding is going to mean they disappear rather quickly.

I’m as worried as Bebe about Israel’s demographics. Because it’s been obvious for a very long time, and ideas are only as good as the brains that hold them.

I”m not anti=anybody. My work is designed to help us all prosper.
