1) What we call religions consist of ritual construction of neural relations that serve as a means of uncertainty and suppression alienation exaggerated by our degree of neuroticism (sensitivity to negative emotions).
2) Religions and Religious Substitutes require Myths (framings that contextualize experience and understanding), rituals (means of repetitious reinforcement), social reinforcement (disalienation reinforcement), because the purpose of religion is compensation for alienation that increases rather rapidly as post-hunter-gatherer society increases, and the continuous social reinforcement at every moment of the day decreases.
3) The means of social reinforcement must be available to the individuals who pursue the set of ‘myths’, ‘rituals’ and ‘social reinforcement’.
4) As such as human ability, knowledge, understanding increase, then we should and do experience the emergence of a spectrum of ‘religion’ that provides accessibility to the broad spectrum of human psychological vulnerabilities, intellectual capacity, and education sufficient to grasp the mythology, method, and a population sufficient to reinforce it.
5) stoicism is the optimum religion (the collection of the ‘greek way’) however it is unavailable to the empathic, neurotic, ignorant, unsuccessful, and undisciplined). Christianity is accessible with little other than ritual repetition. Same for Islam. 8) As I have stated repeatedly the only non false religion is the natural religion to which the Japanese have preserved the surviving example: Nature, State (only nation state), Hero, and Ancestor worship, where worship consist of thanks for the transfer of capital from the past to the present – because we are in fact indebted to nature, state, hero, and ancestor. In that model god (simple anthropomorphism) and nature (more abstract anthropomorphism) are synonymous.
